This show is the opposite of fantastic, I watch it purely because I enjoy laughing at it. The script is an absolute mess, plot holes out the waazoo. What happened to Decker being literally put there by God? Why did God send a second angel to retrieve Lucifer, and then not send another after he failed? The acting is just atrocious, the detective has two attitudes; Highschool girl with an attitude and a "not-so-obvious" crush, and oh-my-god-I'm-a-bubbly-idiot. Unfortunately laughing at the show has begun to feel a bit tired halfway through season 3. What a shame, they could have really written some interesting stories.

Actually Fox did at least once listen to the viewers years ago brought back America's Most Wanted after it was cancelled. Hopefully another Network will pick up Lucifer. If CBS didn't pick up JAG after NBC cancelled it after one season, we wouldn't've had 9 more seasons and all the NCIS shows would have probably never existed.

I was not complaining about the cancellation of this show, I was just saying if they had to cancel the show then why they kept us waiting.. FOX could've given them the chance to complete the story. Omkar isn't wrong. FOX doesn't care about the fans. Yes, it absolutely makes sense to not continue something that isn't working. (Of course FOX didn't try very hard to make Lucifer work. Didn't try to air it on a new night or during the summer when other shows were on hiatus.) But the heads of FOX, Dana Walden and Gary Newman knew they were going to cancel Lucifer after season 3 and instead of giving the show's producers and writers a heads up ahead of time so they could end the series and wrap everything up for the viewers, they said nothing and allowed it to end in a HUGE cliffhanger, all the while knowing we, the fans, would never know Chloe's reaction to seeing Lucifer or tie up any other storyline on the show. In fact, FOX allowed the writers/producers to think they were getting another season (that came straight from their mouths) instead of telling them the show wouldn't be back for season 4. Chloe seeing Lucifer was the moment many of us had waited 3 seasons to see and Walden and Newman allowed it to happen all the while knowing the fans would never ever get to know Chloe's reaction. All they had to do was inform the show it wouldn't be back for a 4th season so the writers could tie everything up for us. But they didn't do that. Instead, they allowed it to end on such a huge cliffhanger, knowing we the fans would never know what happens next. If you're a fan of the show, that should upset and insult you that FOX cares so little about its viewers. Its a slap in the face to those of us who have tuned in faithfully for 3 seasons.

My apologies for butting in but i just wanted to add that the 2 bonus episodes air Monday May 28. (I literally just programmed my DVR to record both a few minutes ago) Something tells me those episodes aren't going to have anything to do with Chloe's response to Lucifer's face. (I don't know that to be true, just a guess on my part)

I think Fox is trying to steer it’s programming towards a more family friendly conservative type base. Hence bringing in the middle America OpenlyTrump supporting Last Man Standing and then immediately canceling the extremely diverse Brooklyn Nine Nine and the non traditionally Christian friendly Lucifer.

They told you why in the interview. Fox is about to be owned by Disney / Marvel. Marvel and /Dc have been rivals since the 1930's. Lucifer is based off of a series owned by DC Comics. Marvel will not give money to a rival so it had to go. I really hope Amazon or Netflix grabs it. CW already passed.

HBO will never pickup a show like Lucifer, HBO is more adult oriented shows and new concepts, but CW could, unless Fox sells the rights to Greg Berlanti, but if that won't happen, don't worry, maybe in a near future the DC Universe Stream Service could revive it again, or put the main characters in another show.
