Heard this forgotten gem on KSHE 95 (the greatest rock station in the world) and found the album in a used record store in St. Louis still have that album 30+ years later

A great band but ultimately an underrated one, i've heard of John Lawton at the end of the seventies after listening to his albums with Uriah Heep, i didn't know then that he had another band, Lucifer's Friend, now that i know his biography and discography i can say that he sang very good on Uriah Heep albums but even better on Lucifer's Friend and his solo albums, especially on his solo album from 2000 called Still Payin My Dues, this band should have been more famous, thanks for sharing.

From what I understand. Lucifer's Friend was a side job for Lawton while he was still with Uriah Heep in 1974. Not actually his band. They were a German Prog Rock band that he liked. Lawton also knew some of the members.
