Sig is a wonderful captain! Sometimes rough, sometimes very sensitive, but always fair and wise! I’ve been watching the show since the beginning and all the captains and crew are like a long extended family to me! Bless them all and may this crab fishing odyssey continue for many more years to come. Can’t wait for season 16!!!

All I have to say is it makes me feel been home watching this. I am from northern Germany myself and grew up near the sea. It is something in your blood you can't deny and you don't want to loose. Having a wife and family which sticks with you on such job's which apply for a lot of the hard working men and women out here is the best you can have in your life. It's having someone's back at work or at home mean's a lot. And no they won't go back because their kid's are there too. Sure visiting but their live is where they are now. And hering it's something you have and always find in northern Europe from Germany to the Neatherlands over Denmark up into Sweden and Norway, a good hering on a bun is something you can die for. A lot of people I found out here in the United States don't know what real food anymore is and once they taste it even if it looks like someone's trash they can't get enough of it. Like a fresh bun stuffed full with tiny shrimp and shrimp sauce on a cold morning is something to die for too. I traveled the world and the one place I know which has the best of all worlds is Singapore and it's fresh food where you can feed yourself for less than $5 a DAY !!! I just can say anyone who's working as hard and as committed as the Hanson's family know's how to enjoy their earing's a lot better than others.

You are an amazing captain sig. To juggle everything you have to juggle to be popular, is more than one person could handle. I wish you the best and every man in the fleet and on your boat.

I have so much respect for sig, he reminds me of my father. Treats the girls like they are his, and how he was toward jake when he lost his dad and sister. Outstanding MAN !

He probably performs the best of any captains on the show. Him and Keith always do pretty great. Jonathan Hillstrand was pretty great as well when he was on the show.

It takes a good real man who recognizes that his wife rules while he's gone, and respects that when he's home. Nice couple.

I can't believe today's society you put someone in front of a camera and their instantly a star. I can't understand how some people think they get all crazy acting just to touch a movie star or someone whose been on TV for a few years. There isn't anyone on earth I'd get excited to touch people in today's society have totally lost their minds. I watched a video a few days ago of grown men acting like school kids to meet and touch this movie star I don't know this man's name but I have seen him in a few movies.

Hello, Sig was 50 when he had his "event". The year after the big event he had a smaller one. This could very possibly be related to stress and smoking,not so much diet. My mind was set to wondering as to just how healthy are those ethnic Norwegian meals in Sig's freezer?

It´s called ´´fiskefrikadeller`` Not fishcake´s And it´s not norwegian mayonaise. It´s called Remolade, and is Danish!
@nattevakta18 жыл бұрын
wrong fiskefrikadeller is the danish word for it. In norway we say fiskekaker which directly is translated fish cake. So since Sigs family is Norwegian they will say fiskekaker
