Yeah honestly the shield with double strike was so much stronger. But it's still fun watching the rod do it's thing ahahah. Don't think it's great on Beowulf tho cause you wanna use those casts as much as you can.

yeah lightning rod really shines when your cast isn't a damage source, it turns ~3 useless casts into a massive source

If you try to do longest dad fight, you should use ruthless reflex rather than greater reflex to make it challenging. And no extra dashes or extra speed from Hermes either.

I think that makes sense - beowulf zeus cast works similar to zeus attack and such, where the lightning is separate from the white damage.

Lightning rod is very easy to get with Artemis. If you have got the right prerequisite boons in place. Than focus on leveling up double strike. I use Zeus with Rama special. Easy.

At the end you can see a Purple +20% almost all the way to the top right. That's def. God's Pride. Which would explain all the free Epic Boons he got this run, and why it took so many tries to get the Rod.
