if you make direct contact with the Skip nade on an enemy, you get a ton of grenade energy refunded. Just throwing it anywhere actually hampers the build.

what's funny is that I actually do an Arc Lucky Pants build that sorta combines the neutral game of Shinobu's Vow (without the extra grenades ofc) with the power of Lucky Pants and Malfeasance specifically in order to melt blockers and the Primeval ALSO FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT THE POWERFUL ATTRACTION MOD ALSO PICKS UP GAMBIT MOTES

in my experience, assasins cowl combo blow arc hunter is the best build for gambit but you HAVE to have powerful attraction on to pick up all of the motes, one game i got 50 motes banked by myself using the build@@crazyraccoon8

About the only suggestion for the Shinobu build I would make is Powerful Attraction on the cape. Since you are going to be dodging a lot anyway, it will collect the motes automatically without messing up your flow.

Shinobu vow is one of the most underrated hunter exotics ever. With jolt getting nerfed it did hurt but you build it right with a solid volt shot weapon in combo with the nades and literally everything on the field will be getting shocked to death. That scout rifle from season of plunder can have enhanced volt with enhanced demo so you will always have nades versus using the nades to auto trigger your replies to get voltshot to proc instantly while anything that gets killed by the volt shot generates grenade energy. It’s down right disgusting.

Strand build: 1. I would use a glave vs grenade launcher 2. use wardens law for boss damage . 3. Dragons Breath vs Xeno - it feels like Cross was conflicted on which to use for Boss damage. He used Xeno more, so it makes lucky pants, warden's law redundent since they fill the same roll.

My gambit build literally combines both of these. Malf lucky pants indebted kindness and an eager edge. Void hunter. Devour sustain. Malf ad clear. Indebted on envoys. Eager edge to pve faster. Malf and mobius quiver on primeval. Invis melee + dodge to say no to pvp.

3 Celestial Nighthawks can kill the boss on the first phase if timed perfectly, I tried to test this last night with two other friends and two shots connected simultaniously and brought the boss down to maybe 8% health from full while the third shot was just 1 millisecond too late.

Lucky pants is actually really good for ad clear. People normally save it for bosses/mini bosses, but it has a good amount of quick clear capability.

I tried to run some fairly tryhard runs for pinnacles getting to 1810 and kept getting destroyed by 4 stacks with meta builds. I use Shinobus Vow as my main Arc hunter build. It's so good, even in end game content, for having multiple grenades/ grenade regen for ad clear and jolt application. It's fun to have 3x the amount of kills than teammates in a raid from just lobbing skip grenades and using an SMG with volt shot. The gameplay loop of throwing a grenade, using melee and just clearing a room is super fun. Plus the Super is really nice for Boss damage so you can lay on them with your weapons as its a 'One and done' Super

Gambit is actually perfect for these videos because not only do you have to compete for kills you also have to have survivability and some pvp skill to bring a strong build together. A build that would go hard in gambit could be strong in GMs or Crucible. And when it comes to boss DPS you can see how much damage is done by your ability to apply DPS. this is perfect.

Warlock, strand, and swarmers this season with a weapon that has hatchling... The one exotic and class that has brought me back to destiny this season. Using round robin with hatchling to get quick precision kills and just having fields of threadlings that unravelling everything with the seasonal strand mods has just been massively fun! Enter a fight from distance launching a threadling grenade like a mortor striker, by the time you're there you have a tangle normally to get more threadlings

another great video from the master tester, always good to see how stuff like this performs in a live environment. Excellent options from both buildcrafters here, and two of my favorite builds to use undoubtedly. That said, as someone who plays a lot of gambit and uses builds for both of these exotics regularly, in regular pvp and gambit, I feel I should add, I would expect lucky pants to beat shinobu's by a mile, and also, maybe its just my personal preference but, this is not how I would run shinobu's at all. To preface- run whatever mods you want that fit however you want to play, goal is to have fun, do whatever lets you do that. I for one, hate any weapon that reloads slow, I will run loaders in my arm slot even though it is suboptimal, because I hate* a gun that reloads slow. So im not immune to suboptimal choices, That said I feel like I need to offer some evaluation of these mods for shinobus. Head A helmet targeting mod? Really? In gambit?! Use dynamo and get your super back much faster, you wil be dodging constantly on this class. Along with ashes to assets and heavy handed ,cycle between your grenade and melee kills , more copies of the mod give more ability energy. Legs You get damage resist from arc aspects when surrounded (which happens all the time in gambit, ) and combination blow heals you. Why are they running recuperation? Why not another copy of innervation, or a weapon surge mod to aid in boss dps? Arms This is the biggest mistake to me. Why are they running bolstering detonation when you get your class ability back free from the aspect on melee kills, which is constant? And in that vein why not impact induction? Although it has an ICD of 7 seconds, itll still give you more value by actually regenerating your grenade. Better still tho, run it with 3 copies of heavy handed and you can generate an orb every second (more copies of the mod lowers the ICD, 1 is 10 sec, 2 is 5 sec, 3 is 1 second). With the abundance of adds in gambit, orb generation this way would likely be far better than impact induction. class instead of powerful attraction, why not run three copies of reaper? Works the same as heavy handed, 3 copies makes it a one second ICD, should generate another orb on top of the one you already get from heavy handed. chest why are they running arc and harmonic resist? On an arc class??? and concussive dampener? Why not just, one of each element resist? Usually works just fine. What are you dying to in gambit such that you need concussive dampener?? Or better yet, why not swap one element for charged up, for more capacity for armor charge for all the orbs youll be generating.

Regardless of the class I'm on, I've found the combo of recon/recom heritage + dead messenger (solar of course) is wonderful for gambit, use a heavy gl for primeval burst. Heritage for the chunky enemies and dead messenger kills most things otherwise. Especially fond of this setup on solar warlock so I can use heat rises + snap as well for ignitions and then also snapskate everywhere and pick up many motes quickly. Obviously, not an invasion/invader friendly setup though.

I love Gambit, Malfeasance and Crimson with Lucky Pants. I also agree with machine guns. However, Riskrunner on Stormcaller Warlocks is slept on for combatant kills especially with powerful attraction. Part of a larger team strategy.

I think one tweak they could do to gambit is if you deposit your motes you get some sort of small buff, and maybe on the opposite end, if you have max motes and you hold onto them for too long (maybe like 20-30 seconds) you start getting some sort of debuff or small damage over time. Just feels like gambit as a concept is good, but needs some sort of tweaking to bring back people to play

Everyone hates Ophidian Aspect but I'd honestly give that up in a heartbeat to have ANY primary weapon archetype specific exotic for Warlocks... Titans have autos and subs; Hunters took bows, handcannons, and sidearms... Can we get pulse and/or scout rifles? Hoo boy y'all would absolutely HATE that, getting deleted from down range with a scout before you even know why/how... Maybe pulse rifle is a safe enough one. I know we have ones for fusion rifle and trace rifle but still we're down one overall compared to the other two, we're due for it.

You NEED to try BoW titan with wormgods and a glaive. It shreds through almost everything and frees up an exotic slot so you can run WH or G-horn. It's easily my favorite thing to use when grinding gambit

Yeah Gambit is no where near as bad as trials for casual and above average players. I like pvp but I will never play trials. Normal pvp and Comp are much more enjoyable experience than trials. In fact Gambit is actually an enjoyable experience especially if you don’t take winning matches in it seriously.

Liar's Handshake is way more lethal in Gambit than Shinobu's vow. You don't even need to fire your weapon 90% of the time & you still end up with most kills and most motes. Just equip weapons with a lot of range for those pesky invaders and those floating eyes, and you're set.
