I know the feeling my brother, all I knew was hate, anger, drugs, alcohol, and gangs, I was never a man of fear, never liked being around good people, even just hearing the word " Church" would anger me. Now, almost 5 years ago I met my wife, who changed my life in the best of ways, I spent about one year with her of being the same me I was used to, then she offered to take me to her church, I instantly replied in anger. As time went on I kept thinking about her offer, about 6 months later I said " I'd give it a go, I'll go buy me a suit and I'll come this Sunday " 3 years later, I'm happier than ever, I'm not filled with anger anymore, I'm alcohol and drug free, I'm finally surounded by good people, I got married in 2020, ever since I became a Christian my life has been awesome.

Christ is alive and well my brother... I too was a lost soul. Full of hate and anger. And so it is true that christ was there from the very beginning of creation. The world won't win. Bless ya brother!

I grew up in an affluent, mostly white, area of Porirua, where the police were largely seen as the good guys. Then i got into drugs and trying to be cool, as a teenager, which led me to associate with more of the criminal underground, and the people from the lower income areas of town. I'm 35 now, and only recently did i come to the realisation, that the wall between those two very different worlds, was the real problem. It isn't one side, or the other. Completely opposing the police in general, is an ignorant and immoral idea, while completely trusting and believing in what the police say they are, is also ignorant and immoral. We need to judge each person as an individual, based on the content of their character. And we also need to question the real roles that organizations, such as gangs and police, play in our community. Two things really helped me to realize this, one was seeing an elderly local ex detective i know, looking particularly old and purposeless recently, and the other was listening to a guy called Charleston white on KZbin. They both made me feel more empathy for people in general, and also more guilty, for not standing up more often, for what's right and just
