Lucky65 Build Out ⌨️

Keyboard builds are never over! Had the opportunity to try out ‪@velocifire910‬ 's Lucky65, a 65% sleek barebones kit! ⌨️
It came at the perfect time as I was in search of a minimalist 65% layout board to complement my current setup.
What's on this barebones kit:
1️⃣ Aluminum Gasket Mount Keyboard
2️⃣ 6 Layers of Noise Control Pads
3️⃣ 65% Layout
4️⃣ Plate mounted stabilizers
5️⃣ Gold Aluminum Case Weight and Accent with Four Leaf Clover engraving
6️⃣ Trimode connection: Wired, bluetooth, and 2.4GHz
For this build, I opted for ‪@akkogeareu‬ Cream Yellow Pros switches, paired with my custom-designed cherry profile keycaps from Goblintechkeys. ✨
This was my first time working with a barebones kit, and selecting the switches and keycaps was indeed an exciting process. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this build! 💬

I changed from nylon plate to Alu plate, the typing feeling is very solid

You know what, I actually haven't tried tinkering with the inside of mechanical boards just because I'm so afraid I might break it. Lol. So having a barebones kit is a good start for me. Maybe someday I get to build from the ground up! 🙌🏻

Mine has a problem where the spacebar hits the case itself.

@@jeorgepaolo i think the plate is the problem. My keycap is not warped or what and the placement of the switch is not the problem.

What did you pay for this kit? They are available regularly from a couple websites for 79 dollars, and from aliexpress i have found it for as low as 56, but i see some people saying they bought it for under 35 dollars and i was just curious how much you bought it for.

$56 plus tax, that’s the lowest I’ve seen on aliexpress.

is this the milky white? seems more beige than actually white. too bad i wanted a more whiter color

Yes it’s the milky white variant and yes, honestly it looks more beige or cream. I also think the silver one looks as if it’s the whiter one but not sure how reflective the silver is. 😁
