HAHHHA THATS FUNNY just get a quick glimpse into the dead realm no here’s a tip I learned if you see a moth man or zombie walking towards you when you are in the living realm and you are glancing into the dead they can rip you from the living realm from behind in front from your side so always do a quick skim of the area before doing anything with it and they will follow you they can see you. Just a little tricky I found. At 12:50 if your pearing into umbral with the lamp and theirs a small enough gap. Just press the Dodge button and you'll roll to the other side without having to go into umbral

Didn’t watch the video yet, but for my fellow pyromaniacs out there. If you want to replace your weapon early on for something little faster attacking and potent. Farm the dual wielding axe npcs by the third rest point. They drop the raw mangler axe, and you can dual wield them. They scale with C- to inferno, and doesn’t effect your spell dmg at all when swapping off staff. They also ignite the enemies really fast.

to unlock runes you need to give the blacksmith the cracked, chipped and rune tablets to unlock upto 3 rune slots on the weapon. You must upgrade the weapon to +1 to unlock the first rune slot and i think +4/5 and +9 for the second and 3rd rune slots. You wont know which shape rune socket your weapon has until you upgrade it (or check some wiki or walkthrough guide that lists it). The upside triangle is agility rune, a circle is strength, diamond is radiance and star shape is inferno. Theres also a "meta" socket on some items and this will take any rune. Also you cant use the boss rememberances until you give the npc (molhu) the bowl of rememberance (i think its called) found in pilgrims perch between the "sanctuary" and "bell room" vestiges. Theres an npc (stomund) sells a key "pilgrims perch key" as of latest patch the cost doubled from 9000 to 18000 souls, this is definitely worth having asap as it unlocks 2 doors, 1 with a chest containing an armour set and another nxt to the backsmiths prison cell that hides a really powerful amulet "warriors claw" which increases physical damage and defence by 10%. It unlocks other areas as well but those 2 reasons are a gd start for anyone especially the amulet since they both can be obtained really early. Upgrading a weapon to +10 required delerium chunks, if i remember correctly theres only 4 in each playthrough, you can buy more from a shrine in skyrest for 150 coins but you will neep to play co op and assist another player in slaying a boss to obtain these, you get 15 per boss. Anoth thing is regardless of your chosen class/build allocate atleast 12 radiance and 13 inferno. Theres a catalyst you can buy from molhu (charm of fortunes sight, its the 3rd best catalys in the game) that allows you to use umbral spells and as soon as you can "poison weapon", itadds more physical damage to you weapons and gives a +60 poison build up for bout 90 seconds. Theres also infernal, radiant umbral and lacerating weapon, infernal weapon increases physical and fire damage and adds +60 burn build up, not sure bout the others, never used em. The consumables that add burn/poison build up give +20 for the weaker one and i believe +40 for higher one but do not stack with the spell variant, +60 build up, or each other only the highest value counts, tho the spell "adyrs rage" (increases all damage types) will work with them as this is an aura spell that is applied to your character and not your weapons. To guarentee getting runes target enemies that you would meet as a sub boss for the first time i.e holy bulwark, raider, infernal enchantress (other enemies drop em aswell), attack em until their health is really low then use soulflay to pull out their soul, attack this to deplete the remaining health causes them to be staggered allowing you to do an "umbral finisher" and said enemy WILL drop a rune (if they have a rune in their drop table), tho you cant start obtaining runes until you gave the blacksmith 1 of the 3 runes in the game. Also each time you give her 1 of the rune tablets her inventory expands, she will have more items for sale. Giving her the third rune will allow you to buy infinite upgrade stones, small, regular and large but not the chunks, this is also true for some of the nps as you turn in items or meet them in certain locations (thek ihir, damarose the marked, tortured prisoner) progressing their questlines

Very silly they chose to make you have to go into inventory to swap from spells to your hand to throw ranged items when they could have easily set it to a button to swap from spell to regular ranged. Also why don’t souls just come to you, you literally have to go pick them up it’s silly. Besides that this game is amazing.

If you pull out the umbral lamp and hold soul siphon all of the nearby vigor rushes to you, and the range is pretty decent!

it goes back and forth, you get strongre, then you get to an area where the enemies are stronger, but by the time you leave that area, you're stonger than those. and if you ever go back to early areas ya stomp em!

I'm not playing on ps5 so I can't compare but On pc if it stuttered there was a memory leak or something, restarting the game would fix it. They seem to have fixed that cus it doesn't stutter on me anymore since it launched (this was pre-release) but it may be worth trying on ps5. Hope they get it fixed for ya!

So I've never played any kind of souls type game and plan to soon get elden ring and stream it. I have started my first play through as a war wolf on and so far have gotten through the first boss (after quite a few deaths) atm kind hunting for weapons n leveling n gear. Elden Ring was much easier than Lords of the Fallen. Lies of P was way too easy. I beat it 3x back to back for the platinum. The nameless Puppet was 🔥🔥 People made the game seem impossible. But all 3 were an awesome experience.

Yup. That’s how it is for most of us. The more we learn to be thoughtful with our strategy, and upgrade, the faster we can get through the first boss. She really sucks. I think the thing that really helped me was realizing that all her damage was holy damage, and there is a really low level armor, that has a bunch of holy damage negation in the early game. Once I put that on, as well as used some wither and fire negation buff’s, it made all the difference. They really want us to think strategically with this gameplay.

I beat her on like 7th attempt on lvl 16 or 17 and I have very little experience with soul games. She was pretty easy in my opinion, you just gotta learn her moves for a bit and be patient and not rush.

first boss is the hardest thing I've fought so far, no joke. after you get that it all clicks. don't be afraid to go level up a little and come back (get a bit of vit) and make sure you're encumbrance isn't set to heavy - thats a no go in this game imho
