People are in these comments saying it shouldn’t be about money. You all have got to be kidding me . I love children and want to help but if I give up MY JOB in order to be a foster parent I want to be making some money WTH ! Let the government stick 6 kids with you for a couple of months. And don’t say nothing about no money 🤣

Regular Ed student $900-1,100 Special Ed student $1,200-5,000 Each of these being a monthly stipend *** you can check with your tax preparation person , most likely after having them 6 months to a year *** they will have their own health insurance

I’d be down with a foster kid getting a debit card with a majority of their monthly money on it for them to use on clothes school stuff etc. then the rest on ebt for food for the child. Foster parents should be helping those kids save as much of that money if they can for when they age out if that happens.
@prekcop
@prekcop 10 ай бұрын
That sounds awesome, but remember, these children do not come from “Brady bunch “ families so fiscal responsibility is never a lesson they come with. You will definitely need to be the good Stewart over the monies given to you the parent to off set the food , electricity, water and direct needs of the child ..!!

That’s a terrible idea. I can’t imagine a foster parent asking the child to reimburse them for groceries or gas money. Puts both parents and children in a bad position.
@shellesbby

I like the idea. The money should be additional. You should already be able to take care of the kid without additional income. I would do half or 1/3. The rest would go towards some sort of savings for them.

These kids aren't emotionally and mentally ready for that level of responsibility. If you want them to be financially prepared for the future, handing complete control is the opposite

Foster care is volunteer the foster parents don’t get paid nothing before you become a foster parent always check that child diagnoses. I was a foster parent it’s a hard job these kids have to go to therapy, outings, doctor visits, er , food shopping, weekly allowance, trips, games, beds , school lunches, school supplies, school uniforms, etc etc etc .

It shouldn’t be about the money. Kids are already being taken away from their environment they know some a lot of trauma. Yes the money helps but if only going into it for the money I feel sorry for the foster parent because it will not be easy raising a foster kid they will need lots of love and care most of all someone who doesn’t give up on them. I was a foster kid and guess what? The foster parents treated us like shit. They bought them a huge house and cars and it was 8 of us some of us got a lot of attention and some mistreated.

And God knows children need clothes shoes every day and every three months. You give children a safe , loving environment and change their lives. If you purchase winter clothes this year, next year it will not fit the children. We have to expose them, zoo, museum, plays etc so they can learn. I am planning to get their passports and take them across the Atlantic Ocean. Yes!

Why pay the parents the foster parents if they signed up to do this. Either u doing it out the kindness of your heart or for money. The adopted kids didn't ask them to adopt them. U shouldn't be able to pocket anything u signed up for

@@tyquanclark6047"Why" bring a child into this world, who didn't ask to be here and has to go through unnecessary trauma due to irresponsible parents and or family members? "Money" is being made by passing the children around regardless! None of these organizations would exist if "money" wasn't the factor. Whether they sit in a corner waiting for placement or are placed with a family someone or someplace received funding.

@@Anne-hc6wi if u signed up for kids then u should b able to handle it yourself. If I took in my nephew i don't need money from nobody I can go to work and pay myself. If I signed up to get foster kids I would expect the samething smh everything is not about money. Imagine getting foster kids that been thru trauma just for a check why not do it for love. You don't need money to show love to someone. It's the root of evil and doing things for money takes the joy from it. Like me doing music and drawing I don't want money from it I give people free stuff and people know they can come to me outta love instead of money. I understand having money for the kids but some people don't use the money right I had plenty of women that were adopted and they are doing worse because people got money for them and leave them to survive for themselves

If I had a foster child, all their money would be going into a long term investment for them. If you want to have a kid, that’s on you to financially support them. If you claim to love foster kids, you will set them up for success by piling up their money until they are ready.

Love doesn't pay for housing, food, utilities, clothing, etc. You're thinking sounds commendable, but it's unrealistic. There's already a shortage of people willing to foster. From what you're saying , only people with money should foster.

60% of families today live check to check and don’t have an extra $500 to their name for emergencies like their car breaks down or they need an emergency root canal. Lower income families can still be great loving homes with the financial assistance which allows them to take in children in need.

Of course. Think of it like child support. My ex sends me 400 a month... does that make me love my son any less? No. Questioning that is disrespectful. The question you should be asking is if she did Mom things. If it was about money, she wouldn't have taken you out to eat or to the zoo or gotten you souvenirs and toys and new clothes and etc

If you're a single retired woman living on a fixed income, you really ought to seek out assistance. Not just for your own stress levels but for her too. She deserves the occasional nice thing, or dance classes, or basically anything the other kids with actual parents have

so why should people foster care then? should we steal the childs money and we use amd spare only some for the child or soend all on the child? no they have to designate something. otherwise forget it. we shouldn't pass the boundary and take the childs money even for a panny. this is not good.

I am unsure what point you stopped listening, or her clarifying that wasn't understood. People not being able to afford to care for the children is why kids get taken away from all family, and also why many families don't even attempt.

Part of the reason why I would like to be a foster mom because I was denied my opportunity to become one. I would think my home state of NJ would be the best place to have and raise children. I'm still having issues with people that I grew up with trying to sabotage my life, and I believe they would sabotage my efforts to be a good mom. I'm thinking it is best to not do it, but at the same time, I would like to know if moving to another state would be better, because I would be away from them and the drama they cause me.

So if they getting monthly lets say 1000 a month thats 12000 a year and if you have the kid for 10 years thats 120k so why do the kids get older and the foster parents have nothing for them. They should have a trust fund or some that the kid can buy a car apartment etc when they get to a certain age right? Im just tryna make sure im not tripping

Special needs you can receive $1000+/m. Amounts can be anywhere from $400-$700/m. Most children come with nothing and it takes about 90 days to receive reimbursements. They will not reimburse you for everything the child needs! If you prefer certain brands that's your problem. If you want the best for them and would like private education, that's your problem! If you identify their gifts and talents and would like to enroll them in extra curricular activities to work on their skill that's your problem. If you are an active engaging foster parent, realizing a learning delay and would like to seek a private tutor; that's your problem too. If you would like them to develop a new skill, learn a new language, enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, dinning out or any form of paid children services that's definitely your business. If they are not well or need extra services for whatever reasons insurance will not cover, that's on you. If you are only feeding them sandwiches, leftovers and food pantries, receiving donated clothing/shoes, no social activities, donated toys/books and a government paid home you can certainly save their stipend!

Just wanted to let you know that you are shooting yourself in the foot by disabling comments on that Idaho CPS baby Cyrus video. You've just been featured by some major league, heavy hitting civil rights channels and people are searching out your video and channel. You've changed the channel name, which makes it more difficult to find and when civil rights advocates finally do find your channel, we see that the basic first amendment (Free Speech) is not allowed on your channel, you're really missing out on a tidal wave of support right now. I have no idea why on God's earth you would disable comments, but that is a huge, huge, huge red flag in today's world of censorship

I agree 100% I see videos with comments disabled and I never look back. If people are not willing to allow open discourse on their platform, then they are usually deceiving their audience, they're insecure about criticism or they're just unwilling to learn or glean from open, free discussions. Either way, I'm out
