Ottima lezione Lucrezia!, sai io ormai sapevo della differenza perche dallo spagnolo secondo me è più facile capire cosa vogliono dire quelle parole, preferire: "preferir", favorire: "favorecer" e concordano coi contesti que hai usato come esempio.

Lucrezia, I remember in a previous video you said the date Italians put up Xmas trees is December 10 or something like that, and you gave the reason why, which from memory was a nice reason, but i cant remember it. Can you tell me the date and the reason again please! Thanks!

it's on the celebration of the immaculate conception of Mary (8 dec), but in Milan is on thw datw of the patron saint (s.Ambrose) on 7 dec. Sorry if I answered just saw somwthing I know and wanted to tell you

Ahhh, so favorire is a 'false friend' as it means 'to favour' in the sense of showing favour to, or supporting, someone rather than in the sense of 'favourite' or 'most popular'
