Sonic… My oldest friend… I was first introduced to you way back in 2008 when I played Sonic 3 on the XBox 360. And I was fascinated by the series. I loved the music, the characters, the stories… I got a Sonic plush and made my own adventures in the backyard. I grew up with the games. And yes, 06, Lost World, Forces and some others may be a dumpster fire… But I still cherished the franchise even with those sub par games. Despite SEGA losing their once magical touch with you… Despite the internet coughing up creepy fanfics and fetish artwork… There are still fans out there that look up to you and praise you as the icon you are, myself included… Just know that there is a boy out there, since 2008, who will love and praise you until the very end… My oldest friend.

Upon listening to Sonic’s reason if depression, I realized that he’s kinda right…people despise new sonic games because “it’s not as good as adventure” or because the story isn’t as good as previous ones. I would know, I used to be like this with forces until I realized how good the game really is. Sonic 06 was a bad game but in my opinion, it had a great story. Elise made Sonic’s story less appealing because she gave Sonic the same goal so he couldn’t develop past “I have to save her again.” SEGA felt like if they kept using new ideas they would keep making fun games, but sometimes it’s better to stick to a classic. Lost world may have played like Mario games but it was still a Sonic game. It still was fast and fun. Even the snowball level was good. And Sonic’s depression to the negative responses of all of us over one bad game is an actually great reason to feel like that. While I still have hope, people already say that SEGA is copying Nintendo with sonic frontiers. It hasn’t even come out yet and they’re saying that. Sonic is on the same wild ride known as life that we’re on. There are ups and lots of downs, but it’s still possible to pull through. Sonic is going through a tough time but he can get out of it. He always does. I just typed a lot over one fan game. I love it!

Actually I just don't like the new games because I don't the to be genuinely bad. While on of my favourites is adventure 2, I don't use the as a base for what makes a good sonic game. Now there are some new games I like doing get me wrong but I don't like lost world or forces just to pick a few. As for frontiers, I avoid ads because I want no spoilers (doing the same with Pokémon Arceus) so I didn't even know it was a thing to begin with. But I won't judge it until I play it myself. BC like we should know by now that e shouldn't judge stuff but the trailer. The new GTA trilogy should've set the in people's minds HARD. Those games were so bad it prompted me to get a PS2 instead to play them and that's sad.

I mean... I really Liked the music of 06 and the Gameplay of Sonic Unleashed... But although 06 was Rushed in development and unleashed was a new project with the Boost system and a combat system for the Werehog sections... I really liked games where The characters evolve through their actions.. Like Shadow's Redemption for adventure 2 and his story on 06, Tails being on his own when he had to stop Eggman from blowing up times Square in Adventure 1... and also knuckles not wanting to know about his people, as it would make him want to stop guarding the Master Emerald... It's one of the best things for a story or a game where the Characters become a better versions of themselves... I loved shadows ending for 06... "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have"...

Knuckles was written in the past as a wise, hopeful and strong character but also manipulatable, lonely, and misunderstood. Now he is witten as a dumb, quirk-tempered, and the only thing good about him is that he is a physically strong character. Currently, he is a one-demensional character like most of other sonic side characters in modern sonic games.

The way I see it, all those games they’ve been in, even the bad ones… they’re just different portrayals of who these incredibly diverse and oft-relatable characters are at their core, right? And even if they get it wrong, there were still a number of amazing ideas created during the meta era that just didn’t quite get fully realized. I’m the kind of person that would go so far as to say the Deadly Six of all people would’ve been great villains if it weren’t for Pontaff. Heck, I’m already seeing that happen in fanfics. So if anything in a Sonic game isn’t quite up to scratch, it’s nothing the fans can’t fix. Project 06 proved that. I can see it now… if Sega, with the money and the IP, can actively work together with the talented and dedicated fans like they did with Mania (perhaps set up an internal task force or something) and just keep it that way, the potential is limitless. And just to be sure of that, I say we oughtta make a petition. Sonic has given us so much joy and so many childhood memories. I think it’s time for us to return the favor

I feel a little disappointed with the Tails portion of that debate; they didn’t mention Tails’ character in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 at all, and how Forces really just messed up his character entirely Tails is really supposed to be a smart, dependable friend of Sonic’s who’s also learning to be his own hero, as does his SA1 theme state, and most people don’t consider Tails in Forces to really be Tails, because that just wasn’t the him we all know and love, leading to his character in that game being universally panned I don’t like how they just solve that point in this game by saying “yeah he’s useless, but that doesn’t mean he can’t give advice,” when that’s far from the truth; but there is only so much 4th wall breaking you can do, it’s not like they can just say “they messed up writing him in that game, it doesn’t count,” LOL

The games back in the post 2010’s era wasn’t bad in gameplay but in story it was really lacking I actually liked the games before the 2010s with the before being sonic 06 to Unleashed and the adventure era was when I really liked the series it’s doing good now but I just hope the characters.
