The sizing wasn’t the same. A size 12 was equivalent to having a 26 inch waist back in the 1950s - so a size xs/s.

Sizes were different. 12 back then was probably like a 4 or 6 now. My mom was a 14 and weighed 115 or 120 lbs in the 1950s.

Now, the sizes are: whale , chubby, fluffy , normal and plank.

Lucy was a Narcissist* *who didn't want anyone to take center* *stage but her.* *Vivian couldn't believe that they would* *cast her husband Wm Frawley as 22* *years older than her. She was written in* *as being frumpy.* *Ethel and Fred had amazing comedic* *timing on "I Love Lucy" but off the screen* *they hated each other.*

Look in ALL fairness- That was like a slap in the face that Lucy is eating with those who HAVE food and not a celery stick. And it was a little rude that they literally were tempting her with potatoes, biscuits, and steak.

Poor girl. It's hard but not impossible. She needed to only drink water and briskly walk for about 3 or 4 hours every day

@@SharonPadget Years ago, I saw famed designer Randolph Duke on HSN. There was a woman wearing a size 12 dress and he actually called her "our plus sized model" . . . pathetic.
