The NHS should be ashamed of themselves for blaming Lucy for their Gross failings, resulting in the deaths of babies they weren't capable of looking after, and instead of putting their hands up and taking accountability for their failings they decided to blame Innocent Lucy who only ever did her very best for the babies and the hospital.

That the findings of the pathologist were able to be overturned on the basis of the wild conjectures of someone who at no point was actually able to physically examine the deceased just beggars belief.

Not tired old transcripts from a corrupt Court case, or a lunatic retired paediatrician who's overridden post mortems and death certificates. Look on being blocked as a bit like Sky news and Government telling us a certain person was a good old welsh choirboy. We excercise the right to switch the nonsense off.

Operation Merlin Falcon has suggested in his videos that Lucy could have been the whistleblower to the CQC. I'm wondering the same - or she was feared by other staff to be the whistleblower (even if she wasn't). If true, there would be no greater motive to have her scapegoated and removed from the unit.

Training and supervising nurses and having students asking questions etc could lead to Lucy missing signs of other babies deteriorating. She wouldn't have been able to do both at the same time 100% safely. Also, the prosecutor often asked how long feeding etc would have taken her when building a timeline and case against her in the court - she'd answer with a time based on an.uninterrupted feeding session - but what if she'd been asked questions during that feed by students? How could you possibly remember? It could make a 10 minute feed 12/13 minutes and throw the whole timeline out.

That's ridiculous. Of course you can have a student and care for the babies completely safely. Why on earth would answering a question prolong a feed??

I think Dr Jane Hawdon was the only consultant neonatologist at the hospital. Gibbs is referred to as consultant paediatrician.

There were no neonatologists at COCH. Jane Hawdon worked at a different hospital

​@@karenwall8643 If a neonatal unit is taking 27-week gestation babies but has no consultant neonatologists on staff, it would be considered a serious medical concern ..... According to what I just read online. Do you know how long the unit was running at a level 2?
