I think the idea is trying to appear strong so that Lucy can feel like it's all going to be ok and can believe that they'll be together but only just barely holding herself together from seeing her daughter be taken from her.

Biologically she is descended from Snow who is the rightful heir to her fathers kingdom. Through adoption (Henry's adoption) she is the granddaughter of the new good Queen. She is also the adopted great granddaughter of the Queen of hearts and Henry Sr was also an actual Prince. Shes royal through both sides.

The casting for Henry’s wife and daughter was horrific. It’s like the casting agents got lazy and said “ whatever it’s the last season anyway.” I’m happy to say that this is a season I don’t care for.

You're not alone! When this season was airing, there were numerous complaints from fans about Jacinda's character, calling her whiny and annoying! There was absolutely no chemistry between Henry and Jacinda at all!
