She did lots of cartoon work too: for Disney she was an elephant, the Queen of Hearts, the good fairy Flora, and Fairy Godmother. And on the Flintstones she was Wilma’s mother.

Perfectly normal shape for a vacuum cleaner back then. In some cases you could put the tube to the back and use the machine as an air blower. Pretty funny thing for a children.

I actually have a smaller version of a vacuum cleaner that looks just like that. You can still buy them in specialty stores. I bought mine for my late father when he got old and had some dementia and really couldn't handle the big one. Zodroo is correct. With mine, you can in fact put the tube in the back and use it as an air blower.
