Many are private and even when visiting Churches these day one has to be lucky as generally they are either decommissioned or they lock them up after a service. This is another great little tour gentlemen. The dame Edna experience was a good laugh at the start and the architecture was truly spectacular. Tradesman were truly tradesman in those older years. I loved the horse trough but like Peter I felt that other animals aren’t dumb either. We still see some picket fences around town and in Sydney but the maintenance to paint them must be tough. Cant beat a bit of Dame Edna! Lovely history on the ever changing architecture! We still have horse trough’s here with the same exact slogan on, yet no more needy horses! Ive never seen a drunk bathing in one though, that is something to put on the bucket list next time i have a tipple! 👍

Great that some have been re-purposed and renovated instead of being torn down and replaced over the years. Hello Jennifer, we totally agree with you about repurposing old buildings. There were many lovely homes in Moonee Ponds that missed the video. It was very nice of that couple to leave their resources to the cause of providing places for all the dumb animals to drink. LOL. I am sure it was likely just a common usage of the phrase at the time. But it is funny to read it now. It is sad to see that some of these old places have been neglected or covered in graffiti. But there were still a lot of well kept beautiful examples of classic architecture here. Moonee Ponds looks like a lovely area. Thanks for taking us along on this heritage walk!

Great tour you guys I loved the hotel and the theater. Yes, I hear ya on seeing neglected buildings that once were so beautiful, I loved the roof on that red one. Interesting opening, elegant narrative, drones work well, you can always find something fun. It's just that the weather is not so good. You have shot a lot of community videos like this. You can use a map to mark them and display them in the video. The first role is to let the audience know where the location you shot is in the city, and the second role is to show that you have already shot How many places like this for everyone to find videos you've shot.

Wonderful Sally, there are so many beautiful homes in Moonee Ponds and yours sounds like one on the list. Opposite the Junction Hotel is now the "Junction Tabaret". This is where the original Moonee Ponds Hotel which was built in 1850.
