Everything pleather that I've owned has started to disintegrate and flake off within a year or two, even with little to no use. I just noticed that with one of my favorite pairs of shoes in my closet the other day. I only got to wear them maybe three times because they're seasonal. 😔Meanwhile I have 10 year old (with me) secondhand leather brogues and a jacket that I've worn hundreds of times that still look great. Those pink moto jackets are super cute, omg I need to keep an eye out now!

Plus most "vegan leather" is just greenwashed plastic. Secondhand leather is the way to go for durability and sustainability imo

@@emerym5729 Totally agreed. I'm done with pleather unless I find something great secondhand. I couldn't even donate my flaking pleather stuff because it looked awful, so I had to find a recycling option and hope for the best.

That's my biggest problem with vegan leather. It just doesn't last. No matter how well you take of it, it just falls apart. Newer ones should be better, but it's certainly worth thinking about

Yeah I have had similar experiences with shoes + jackets in particular! I know there are new vegan leather alternatives being developed that are more sustainable but leather products do have a much longer life-span, whether you keep them or you sell / donate them 🤷‍♀️

Honestly I think buying a better quality leather jacket and painting bows on is the best solution

ehhhhhh maybe I'm old but I feel like the bows are going to go out, and look super dated within the next 10 years (like the awful millennial mustache). Just get a nice, plain leather jacket in a classic color (pretty much any style because they never go out and are always useful) and put bows in your hair. Same vibe but without the time limit. I've modified a lot of clothes and wish I hadn't years and years later 😅

I own the heart shaped dr martens bag. Its not comfortable to wear as a backpack, but its great as a shoulder bag. Its not set up to be a backpack to begin with. Def get leather not plastic.

Do the dr marten bag! I have it in black and it can be both a crossbody purse and backpack and it’s not too heavy because it’s a mini one (at least mine is). I wish I had waited for the other colors to come out tho bc I am NOT a black wearer

My advice for anyone wanting to buy Adidas sambas is you really need to try them on and really honestly evaluate how comfy they are on your foot. I find they have a very narrow middle which doesn't work for my feet no matter which size I try :/ and I like nikes, which are known for being narrow! I bought a pair secondhand a couple years ago, never wore them, now I'm accepting reality and giving them to a friend.

I've had gold Ana Luisa jewelry and the gold got rubbed off within a year. This was before I learned when "plated gold" meant and it was a bit misleading bc I saw an ad claiming it was water proof

I’m a forever bow loving girly though, so it would be a long term piece for me! (I am THRIVING with all the bow pieces recently)🎀🤍

Aww I wish I had a better answer but I honestly don't put too much thought into it! I talk about it a bit in both of my pack with me videos, but honestly if I'm out and about I use quite minimal equipment and sometimes even use my phone! If I am doing a full set up I take a big tote and pop a lil pouch inside to keep everything safe! 🙆‍♀️ I hope that's helpful, lmk if you have any more q's 🫡✨️

I was lucky enough to find the bow leather jacket secondhand (online) 🙏 it's really good quality (for now) and doesn't look/feel like fake leather at all But i don't know how long it will last in the end 🤷‍♀️🥲
