Hi Lucy, As 40 years experienced metalsmith, I find that a 2lb brass mallet will work more efficiently, as it will only take one--possibly two--blows and a lot less muscle. Try it, you'll love the efficacy! BTW, I love your videos. You're an excellent and personable instructor.

I got this, it's fab. The only thing is, my silver has got stuck in it and I can't separate the two pieces. I used a shim on the opposite side, sheet was only 0.8mm thick. Any thoughts? Thanks ☺️

If I was to get a hydraulic press to punch out 1-1.5mm copper disks, 50 and 80mm wide, how much tonnage would I need in a unit to do so?

Have to watch the vid again to find out how to use a disc cutter,--------- couldn't concentrate. was not expecting the pommy accent and then "brick shithouse " came out and then "any hole" PMSL!!!.
