Hi Lucy, As 40 years experienced metalsmith, I find that a 2lb brass mallet will work more efficiently, as it will only take one--possibly two--blows and a lot less muscle. Try it, you'll love the efficacy! BTW, I love your videos. You're an excellent and personable instructor.

Just saw a question about patterned metal and whether to cut it pattern side up or down. This definitely answers that question with a logical response. Thank you!

Hiya, what a great, non-pretentious video! You say it like it is, using the same everyday language we do. But, there is always a but, you leave nothing out! It's all there, the truth, the hole truth, and nothing but the truth. Anyone can watch your film, take it in, then go and do likewise. Does not matter the size or shape of the punch, you can follow the well-laid-out route, and reach the same ending! Perfection! Thank you, dear lady...Stay safe...Steve...

I got this, it's fab. The only thing is, my silver has got stuck in it and I can't separate the two pieces. I used a shim on the opposite side, sheet was only 0.8mm thick. Any thoughts? Thanks ☺️

If I was to get a hydraulic press to punch out 1-1.5mm copper disks, 50 and 80mm wide, how much tonnage would I need in a unit to do so?

Excellent video. I wish you had done a real close up of the finished discs. Maybe a KZbin short 🤔😁

Have to watch the vid again to find out how to use a disc cutter,--------- couldn't concentrate. was not expecting the pommy accent and then "brick shithouse " came out and then "any hole" PMSL!!!. Had you on fbook for some time now, without knowing you were sooo entertaining. Following on KZbin and Insta from tonight here in Aus.
