For those like Keith who want custom plates (which take 2 weeks to arrive in NSW), then there is the option to ask for our state’s default yellow plates which saves you ~$100 Otherwise Tesla give you the premium white plates in NSW by ‘default’

Are there any 22 kw 3-phase wall chargers that one could install in a block of units big carpark, that is linked to one's apartment (electricity bill) but there is a pre-use fail safe system (pin, password, other) so that only the apartment can use the charger and other's can't randomly park there and use it for free for themselves?

Yes SR+ from GF Shanghai with LFP battery. I believe Tesla recommend 100% charge each time. Will be interesting to see what Keith recommends for his rentals

Good question. Obviously renters can do what they like when they have the car. From my POV I’ll be mostly fast charging it before rentals at East Gardens to get it ready, as it won’t be living in my driveway - this one is going to hang out nearer the city waiting for rentals. I won’t be DC charging to 100% though - takes too long.

I’d stick to Tesla’s recommendation. The Model 3 frunk is different depending on whether it’s pre or post 2020. From my past orders, I’ve normally received my packages within 1-2 weeks

Opposite "6 Ramsay Street, Pennant Hills NSW 2120" they have installed two Ocular branded 22 kw chargers (silver colour small unit with a digital screen, on the wall of the Australia Post building), but one must bring their own 'Type 2' charger cable to use it. Looks like its on PlugShare?

@@LudicrousFeed some complaints on the PlugShare seems to be that when two cars are charging at the same time it can tend to 'trip' and the power cuts off and stops charging. Also PlugShare says that its FREE charging for two hours, which seems to be quite long (2 hours) and wonder how long it is free for (and its only an intro offer for the location)

@@LudicrousFeed you might have to get there about minimal 90 minutes before sunset (currently about 500pm) or about 30 minutes after sunrise (currently about 630am) to film, because in the night there are no lights at all near the two silver boxes currently and its very hard to see unless you take a 100,000 lumens bright handheld torch with you 🙂

Keith, I rented your Blue TM3 earlier in the year and have since bought a TM3. The rental experience was great. Unfortunately my Tesla experience is less than satisfactory. 1. I live close to Chatswood and they refused to allow me to pick up my car there. I had to go to Alexandria instead. 2. They lowered the price by circa $4k just 16 days after I picked up my vehicle. To add salt to my wounds they now include mats. 3. My air-conditioning is extremely noisy and annoying. I'm told this issue will be fixed with a "software update" at some point in the future. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHu4lZyfrqllZ7c This will be my first and last Tesla. This organisation doesn't do business the way I do business.

@Emmett - does the Alexandria vs Chatswood pickup location get auto allocated or at a certain stage can one click a button to say which one you want to pick it up from? Guessing Chatswood building was not operational when you did the online order and hence Alexandria was allocated?

@@sachsufi9328 Chatswood was operational. They just didn't have the vehicle I ordered there as I ordered from stock and they were too lazy to move it. Customer service is 0/10 from Tesla.

I don’t recognise your YT username but think I can guess which renter you are. That sucks you got some crappy service during the buying process. I agree Tesla are past the time where they can give excuses for the basics - not a startup anymore. The $4k price drop cuts deep - I was a bit annoyed and our blue model 3 was 3 months old, can’t imagine how you felt after two weeks. What Tesla don’t get is that it’s the simple stuff like this which turn people on or off the brand and make them advocates. Offer a small partial discount/refund for buyers in the 30 days prior, or even just a ton of free charging to attempt to keep the goodwill.

When all this is needed for a car, a brand smack new one, it is not worth it. I also saw several unalignments on the right side just passing the camera past... So happy that the EV i got you dont have to do all these checks on. Its already build and quality checked. They really should fire that blind man at quality check at Tesla at the factory and at the delivery centers... You as a customer should not have to control their quality control So I rather spend an hour longer on a public charger than having a car that will loose all support after warranty is off, like we see on the old S85s. Dunno about rust in Australia, but i guess you dont salt them for winter to increase friction, as we do in Northern parts of the world. Here we need undercarriage treatment, something Tesla dont approve on, and is a warranty loss if you do one, to make the car last ALOT longer... Also it isolates the car so it will be even more sound proofed. But good luck, and hopefully you will not have any issues with this one, as it is with Teslas in general. You never know what you gonna get when you order one. You can get one with no issues, one with some and some that completely fails.

Don't assume cause its new its all good, I'm a panel beater and I've seen cars still in the wrapper getting accidents damage sorted I'm talking on the Jig.

@@emmett3067 @Ivan Z @Mark Tiller - its possibly because most people buying an entry level Model 3 (white paint, aero wheels seem to be most in the underground Chatswood Tesla carpark) are probably already really stretching themselves $ (budget) as it is so they don't want to spend extra money to get a 19-inch wheels and a different colour paint than white multi-coat

@@emmett3067 It's funny, I've been saving for years to be able to afford my Model 3, I've ordered base level everything *except* paint. I really didn't want a white car! I actually wanted red but couldn't afford that - went with blue! I could have just got it wrapped later but I'm not really a car wrap kinda guy :P
