This should make for an interesting comparison with the violin concertos of Szymanowski, Karlowicz and Emil Mlynarski. Polish composers have done rather well in this genre during the last century or so.

And Moszkowski...as well as comparing them to more modern concerti from Bacewicz (her first is not far off this time line), Penderecki, Panufnik, and a host of other offerings.

Un compositeur très intéressant qui mériterait d'être beaucoup plus joué ! A very interesting composer who deserves to be much more played!

This concert was composed in Warsaw of 1944, the year of the Uprising, when Germans had murdered two hundred thousands Warsaw civilians. Nevetheless musically it's awesome and romantic and it stands for itself.
