Quantum Mechanics appeared on "Oppenheimer" (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - the soundtrack album composed by Ludwig Göransson for the 2023 film Oppenheimer by Christopher Nolan. It was released on July 21, 2023, the same day as the film's theatrical release in the United States.
Oppenheimer premiered at Le Grand Rex in Paris on July 11, 2023, and was theatrically released in the United States and the United Kingdom ten days later by Universal. Its concurrent release with Warner Bros.'s Barbie was the catalyst of the "Barbenheimer" cultural phenomenon, encouraging audiences to see both films as a double feature. The film grossed over $960 million worldwide, becoming the third-highest-grossing film of 2023, the highest-grossing World War II-related film, the highest-grossing biographical film, and the second-highest-grossing R-rated film. It received critical acclaim for Nolan's direction and screenplay, the score, visuals, and acting.
Among its many awards, Oppenheimer was named one of the top ten films of 2023 by the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute, atop five wins at the 81st Golden Globe Awards (including Best Motion Picture - Drama), seven wins at the 77th British Academy Film Awards (including Best Film), three wins at the SAG Awards (including Best Ensemble), as well as attaining a leading 13 nominations at the 96th Academy Awards, winning seven for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Murphy, Best Supporting Actor for Downey Jr., Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score.
*Ludwig Emil Tomas Göransson is a Swedish composer, conductor, songwriter, and record producer.
He has scored films such as Fruitvale Station, the Rocky franchise entries Creed and Creed II, Venom, Tenet, Turning Red, and Oppenheimer. He also composed the current fanfares for Warner Bros. Pictures and the new Star Wars brand logo. For his work on the 2018 superhero film Black Panther, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. He further scored the second Black Panther film, 2022's Wakanda Forever, earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Lift Me Up" performed by Rihanna.
Göransson is also known for his work on American TV series like Community, New Girl and The Mandalorian, which earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for both season 1 and season 2's finales. He composed the main theme for The Mandalorian's spinoff series, The Book of Boba Fett, which debuted in 2021.
As a record producer, he has frequently collaborated with Childish Gambino, producing his studio albums Camp, Because the Internet and "Awaken, My Love!", among others. Göransson's producing work on Gambino's 2018 single "This Is America" was met with acclaim and accolades, including two Grammy Awards - for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. He has also produced for other recording artists, such as Adele, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, Haim, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Moses Sumney.

100% agree. I probably love it slightly more than “can you hear the music”(which is still absolutely amazing of course) but man there is something so peaceful and soothing about Quantum Mechanics. It is the definition of the calm before the storm.

This is a slowed down version of Can you hear the Music, as it was shown when Oppie was teaching the student about Quantum Theory and he couldn't yet understand the it yet (he couldn't 'hear' the music) but he was getting there "What do you know about Quantum Mechanics?" "I have a grasp on the basics" "then you're doing it wrong" "Is light made up of particles or waves?" "Quantum Mechanics says it's both, but how can it be both?" "It-can" "It can't" "but it is, it's paradoxical and yet it works" The sound of this OST while Oppie teaches his students who are filled with curiosity and prowess hit me making me fathom the beauty of the human mind. If you pay closer attention even the Background OST's, they tell their own story and when you start hearing them it amplifies your experience tenfold. Ludwig Goransson is a generational talent!
