How did you guys tune the reso in this video? I have the same drum and struggle to keep it from sounding very "tom"y

@@drummer4mysavior bottom heads get tuned pretty high and even in pitch so it produces a clear note, but not so high that it chokes. Heads can take a surprising amount of tension, so go up by quarter turns until it responds like you want!

When tuning it high what is your reso head tuned to ?

@@ace3203 I get this question all the time. There's no specific pitch. It is nearly table-top right but still producing a clear note, and tuned evenly across the whole head, not loosened around the snare beds. Bottom head does not change throughout the whole video.
