No , maple legacy is maple and poplar ,not just maple and re-rings , I would rather have the maple and poplar over the maple .

Beautiful sounding kit, but you are correct that it its a legacy Maple not classic They only made these with the legacy shells But awesome demo video nonetheless, you did a great job at capturing the beautiful tone that these drums have
