I bought mine in 1979, and used it on almost everything until 1999, when I sold it. That was the worst day of my life and I really miss my supersensitive. Great video bud!

Thanks Pete, I've been scratching my head with the adjustment of this strainer for a while. This sheds some light for me.

Thanks! Glad somebody saw it and it helps. Quite a neat feature now that I know what it does.

You never found the mic adjustment in your recording.

Why is the snare throw off lever on the right side of the badge! Aren’t they usually on the left side of the badge I mean aren’t the throw offs usually on the left side of the badge if you’re sitting behind the drum in the players position very strange my super sensitive has the same arrangement usually with the badge facing forward towards the audience, this puts the throw off lever at the 9 o’clock position so you can flick it with your left hand or stick but on this drum with the badge facing outward towards the audience, the lever is on the right side of the drum or at the 3 o’clock position very strange I guess that was one of the quirks of the Ludwig super sensitive snare drum

@@nealsausen4651 It’s funny you noticed. When I got the drum, the throw off was as you see it. And that always bugged me because I prefer it on the left. A couple of years after I did the video, I changed the top head and switched the bed around, so that it’s now on the left. I got the drum used, so maybe the other owner switched it, and I didn’t know lol.

@@peterphilis : yeah that’s very strange. I guess whoever is assembling the drums on any given day if the factory decides whether to throw off goes on the right or left, it might just be random

I love Supraphonics. Never cared for the SS strainer. Have worked on these for decades in my shop. Know all about the can adjustment. Mostly these cnares do not come up and make good contact and they rattle even with the cam turned all the way clockwise. Have replaced countless slide cams in these school owned drums. Just too much to go wrong in the hands of most players. I can not tell any difference in how they sound when actually engaged right.yes, they can get a really loose and rattlie sound. But that can be done on a p83 or 85 or millennial. I never thought the Dynasonic was worth the hype either. Too dry for my taste.
