I love how this video summarises competitive pokemon so perfectly. You outplay your opponent and have a good chance at winning by playing strategically and then rng screws you over and you miss 3 Hurricanes in a row to lose. Amazing.

Competitive players vs casual tbh this is just how things are... It's kind of funny because Wolf is really good at the game, but there's just that one player who you can't read sometimes and Lud's just one of those types of players.

@@internetguy7319 (just wanted to let you know this isn't a flame it's just really long bc I write a lot sometimes so I'm sorry in advance) TL;DR Didn't mean to imply that he's bad, he's just not a competitive player like Wolfey is Didn't say he wasn't good, just said there's a difference. Wolfey puts a lot of time into competitive, while lud plays on occasion. That's casual. He doesn't have the game knowledge that Wolfey does as that guy has gone to World VGC tournaments for years and pulled out several wins. Even if you're not at that level, there is a general idea of who is primarily focused on competitive Pokemon and who isn't, and lud just allocates his time differently (at least on stream that is, I can't say whether he puts in time off stream or not but based on his general understanding of the game I'd say probably not too much aside from a for fun match or two every once in a while). That's really the only difference, having the talent doesn't automatically make you a competitive player. Being inherently intelligent is different then knowing how to apply that knowledge correctly. You have to practice or be knowledgeable enough to know about how Pokemon works and what the majority of what each move, item, type, stat, ability, team comp, etc. does in order to compete without any restrictions (especially in Pokemon Showdown bc the meta is constantly changing so you have to be reacting or adapting to the current climate of that particular meta).
