This was one of the best (objectively) events Lud has hosted imo! Big fundraising for charity paired with a wide variety of games and talented gamers getting to show off 0.1% level skills. I feel like its the kind of event both gamers and nongamers can enjoy, compared to typical esports events. Educational as heck for people new to the game but also easy to appreciate for those who already play the titles being shown. I really loved Linkus' Wind Waker , Aspecticor's Hitman 3, and Pointcrow's Zelda runs in particular, didn't really know them too well before this and appreciate how much knowledge they have and how well they were dumbing things down for us, especially when things got technical. Niftski's Mario run was also epic imo, classic game everyone knows. Also around 40:00 he explains quite well how speedrunning is a great way to get people interested in games they may not have played before, or even gaming in general (Linkus 46:08). There are tons of old games we can still go back and enjoy, that's epic. 10/10 event. $7/7

Crazy thing about Jak and Daxter is that they made the entire game in a fully functional custom game engine made with Lisp, it was completely revolutionary for its time and one of the most advanced game engines on the market. It was also the first ever fully integrated seamless open world in a video game.
