@@jjwang7597 iirc multitap is a device that lets you connect four controllers to a single NES (which only has two controller slots), they would have used this to hold a tournament in some mario game with four groups of four where the winner out of each would proceed into a final group of four. GPB said he had tested this particular one multiple times before travelling to Fast50, but it wasn't working on the day so he had to cancel the tournament (which he apologized for endlessly) and did this instead, without any practice

I've never watched Ludwig and had no idea this was happening until after it was over, but I've been watching clips of guys I watch regularly on YT (Poo, CJ, Simple, Simply) and I'm really impressed by how this whole event came together. Very fun speedruns, commentary, competitions, all of it. Excited for next time.
