​@@OldManLuffyThe manga could still portray it as a struggle if that's what it was but it wasn't. King kong gun ripped straight through Doffy's attack and shield in an instant and that's the canon. The anime does this all the time and it pisses me off. They are trying to make DBZ like beam battles out of every final clash but that makes zero sense. It's a punch. If the momentum of the punch is stopped it wont do much anymore.

The last time Luffy took down a warlord ruling a nation, he brought Crocodile up from the shadows, but this time he sends a demon back to hell. In the manga, there was no clash at the end. Luffy instantly broke through the strings and destroyed Doffy...King Kong gun is such a cool attack 💯🔥

Alabasta would already be taken over. zoro "probably" dead from starvation? Buggy fully taking over that town, sanji and everyone in baratie probably dying as well when don krieg attacks, nami finally getting 100 million berries then Arlong will have the marines take it, nami probably broken at worse commit suicide, kaya definitely dying maybe usopp as well and kuro successfully taking all of kaya's fortune. That Kyros scene, where he let out all those years of suffering, of losing everything without being able to cry or feel the touch even as his wife lost her life, being forgotten by everyone and his daughter and having to take care of her like a stranger toy soldier, of no hope, of watching everything he loved being destroyed and crushed and stepped on by a bunch of psychopaths. His king, his kingdom and home, his family and friends. And after years of struggle and nightmare a miracle happens and he gets the help of the strawhats and everyone else, hope is back, they fight till the end and they win. The nightmare is over, the impossible happened, and he gets his kingdom, his king, daughter and friends (not all of them) back, and he's remembered by all of them again. He literaly jumps back into existence. But at the same time, his wife won't be there to celebrate. All of that being released at once at the first moment of ease he had in 10 years, of no struggle, of no suffering, of no impotence. He'd been holding it back until everything was over, everything on his shoulders, as a father, as a warrior and hero of his kingdom, the last hope. Never gave up. And then it's over and everything caught up rushing like a tidal wave, at once; pain-grief-suffering-impotence-fear-sadness-fury-happiness-peace-gratitude-love-sorrow. A long held bomb of horror and emotions, going out with a heartbreaking scream. The voice actor really did a good job there. This scene is one of the most powerful ones in the series to me, as well as this amazing character and his fucked up story.

Yeah great ending to the arc but hate that they had to drag out the final clash. in the manga Luffy's King Kong Gun broke through Doflamingo's net right away but the anime had to pad things out to fill the entire episode

There's Strength levels to Haki as well. This is New World, more and more people will have Armament, Observation & Conqueror's Haki. Just cos Navy Men used Haki doesn't mean they are on the same level as Zoro just like Pica also used Armament but was not strong enough to beat Zoro.
