when I first reached the final boss, I couldn't believe how long it took me to beat it even with all four characters at the maximum level. but I was relieved when I finally finished the game.

Keep in mind that boss had to be nerfed. The play testers couldn't even beat it at first.

I always wondered what's the normal level to beat the game in... I got bored towards the end of the game and just wanted to beat it, and got to the end with my hero at lvl 38. Took a while, but I kicked some serious, sinstral ass 😅

@@rodrigo528 Correcto, ademas te da tiempo para que te hagas fuerte y eso lo hace dificil emocionante contra los jefes finales sin que te den EXP y oro, me parecia algo inlogico que te dieran EXP y oro ya en la batalla final.

I never understood what Melancholy does for Amon. Also, I never really cared as a child, but now, I'm scratching my head why the Sinistrals never fought together. Maybe for memory limitations because of their big size?

It's explained in Lufia 2 that the overgod Arek the Absolute forbids them from fighting together as one, as humanity gaining the power to wield the dual blade was a sort of "Judgement Day" for them. If humans could defeat even one of the gods 4-to-1, The Sinistrals lost every right to rule. The breaking of the dual blade and merging as one entity was a major violation of this rule, which is likely why the dual blade acted towards Erim/Lufia the way it did.

Except for Gades, who has no magic. Amon and Daos are even dumber, since he has a defense down spell that targets all allies, so with three Mirrors, Amon and Daos basically loses defense points three times in a row. Thankfully, they are immune to Confuse and in Daos' case paralyze and Amon's case, Instant Death (I don't know why Guard Daos's confuse move is called Figural, since it's the same move as Chaos). Daos also uses Vulcan a lot, but at least he's resistant to Fire.

If there's one thing that could have saved this game after Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals was released, it would have been re-releasing it updated with Lufia II's graphics & soundtrack(especially dat addictive Sinistral Boss Battle music~).

Definitely and had that succeed Lufia 3 could’ve definitely been remade with the similar graphic updates. I liked that this was a trilogy than be continuous anthology series like Final Fantasy.

@@megabolt5898 The Legend returns is considered 3 cause it finishes the Erim trilogy poorly though. Cause Lufia 4 is a new story within the world of Lufia but ignores the Sinistertrals

I admit I was being sarcastic since, I know there's a 3 on the GameBoy Color but, that's only because of how looked over it is and, i KNOW there is no 4th after that one, just that Square-Enix remake that ended up being the cliché "not the remake/remodel/remaster fans wanted"...

​@@rodrigo528 If I recall, it relates to the Dragon eggs you come across while playing. There's a shrine where, if you bring a set of 7, you can choose from stuff like boosting level by around 10 or some stat boosting consumables. Some of the options were the Might gear, weapons and armor far superior to any you may come across normally. There were shields, the Might Bow which is far stronger than Artea's Bow, and I think the Might Sword and/or Axe

And to answer OP's question, I THINK I either got one piece, or wasted it on an XP boost when I first played as a kid. Later down, when I beat it on an emulator, I got the bow

@trixen Hell I've only played through this game twice and I can't remember a single thing but then again that was like 10 years ago and probably another 10 years before that for the first time. I still never got around to completing Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals on top of it, get about 20 hours in and just never get back to it.
