Yeah it was. Many people complain about the Lufthansa service. But i can´t comprehend that at all after this flight.

Just did 3 legs on LHs 747s about 10 months ago. I didn’t have any complaints about the food or service, and I was on the upper deck for all of those flights.

Only a little bit. If you would like to see more of the wing, you should take a seat in rows 84 or 85

Can you clarify the comment the flight came from SFO? The plane arriving is from Frankfurt for the return flight. I have been on it a few times over the years. Twice on Business but wasn't able to get a seat in the upper deck. Looked like you had a full flight.

The plane came in from Frankfurt. Lufthansa has up to two daily Vancouver flights - one from Frankfurt with Boeing 747 or Airbus A330/340 and one from Munich with Airbus A330/350. At the moment the Frankfurt flight is operated by Eurowings Discover with old Lufthansa A330s. Our flight was completely sold out. We were lucky that we reserved our seat months in advance. I keep my fingers crossed for you, that you will make it one day on an upper deck seat as well.

Let's hope they can keep 747 service awhile before they change over to a 787 or A350 . Then it will be an end of era for this iconic aircraft service to YVR.

Really impressive review and nice food. Although flying on a 747 is an incredible experience, objectively referring to the seat itself I have to say it's pretty disappointing. I think with the modern-day 1-2-1 layout that is so prevalent among airlines in business class, this 2-seat window side layout is outdated. Big like and a sub!

Do you realize u have spotted a quite rare aircraft too ? That's Qatar Emiri A330 getting pushed back from D68 😃 I remember I was there that day but left like 10-15 minutes before the pushback 😆

@@chriscox1535 no, on the upper deck there are only business class seats. But in Lufthansa´s Airbus A380 you will find a few economy rows on the upper deck.
