How was your experience on Lufthansa short haul flights?? We liked the long haul, but short haul is never very good because of the seating!

I always liked flying with Lufthansa. Great personnel, and they actually knew how to put people on a plane in a sensible order instead of a disorganized stampede.

ColKorn1965 we’d generally agree here. They are usually pretty nice and enjoyable to fly with. Thanks for watching!

Hi Wilsons,great video.Yes ,its the seat that makes you wonder why you pay business.The amenities on the ground and sometimes the food is what makes it really business class worthy.Thank you both for letting me travel with you guys! Regards!!

There's no other way to have two armrests for your own, a less crowded cabin, fast lane security and a second handbag wich avoids checked bags on most trips. The most trips in Europe are not longer than two hours, so the seat is not a great issue for me. Only a power outlet is missing to charge the personal devices to browse onboard wifi and to read the digital newspapers.
@WheresWilsons5 жыл бұрын
It is true. The experience OVERALL is pretty good. But the seat just isn't great. Not the end of the world, we have sat in better short haul cabins, though. The power outlet is a big deal for the longer flights. 1-2 hours no issue with battery life. It's just nice having more space, instead of an empty seat. We appreciate your input!

Seats the same as economy but more leg room? Empty middle seat great perk!
@WheresWilsons5 жыл бұрын
not even really much in leg room. minimal. it was decent. Middle seat empty is nice... but for business class it's a sham lol. I'd rather fly on the WestJet or Alaska business which isn't very good either! But still 'better' ... if we're comparing them all :)

A comment on Lufthansa Business Lounge vs their Senators Lounge. As a United 1K (Star Alliance Gold), I have access to the Senators Lounge, as well as boarding with first class passenger's, but back to the lounge difference. I personally don't see that much of a difference in regards to the amenities, leisure, and food. But both work vs sitting at the gate...!! I am flying to Rome July 5, 2021, via United Polaris, from Chicago to Munich, then Lufthansa to Rome. Now I know what to expect on that flight as its a A319 - glad its a short flight!! 👊respect👊

Hello! New viewer here. Can I ask what visas you guys use to accumulate points and how you accumulate points so quickly.
@WheresWilsons5 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thanks for watching! We use an Aeroplan Infinite Card personally and an AMEX Platinum Card for business. The AMEX is quite expensive, but you get a LOT of perks like lounge passes and travel credits. You just need to ensure you use those to make it worthwhile. The other benefit is that the points accumulated can easily be transferred over to many other points programs within like 24hrs and for no fee. So, for example, let's say we earn 100 Amex points, we can easily flip those over to Aeroplan or Hilton Honours, etc etc. for no fee. So the AMEX is our favourite because of the flexibility. It just is expensive. The Aeroplan card (through TD in Canada) is a less expensive card and still gets us great Aeroplan miles.

For the points themselves, we are lucky to acquire points through business, as we use Credit cards for many of our business purchases... alongside personal accumulation of just putting everything we buy on our credit cards and paying them off right away. The key is to just use your CC for all of your purchases, as they add up quick! And also, if you sign up for a new card, there's often perks and bonuses for signing up. We've signed up for accounts a couple of times just to take advantage of the signup bonus and then if you don't want them, you can always close the account down the road. But those signup bonuses can be pretty good 10-20k miles. Worth looking into. If you travel a lot, the AMEX is the way to go. Lounge pass is amazing and there are travel credits you can use as well... and the guaranteed Gold status with Sheraton/Marriott properties is nice!! We have a video coming out soon with more info on this too :)

we fly using points that we earned over the years. we never paid for those flights, as they are FAR too expensive for us!! So normally, no, not business class, unless it was a flight booked from points ;) And there is far worse needless spending around the world compared us taking a business class flight on points to impact 'starving children in Africa'...

@@WheresWilsons When you are travelling on points, you are taxed for doing that.
@WheresWilsons5 жыл бұрын
@@Ahuntsicspotter Correct - but the taxes aren't too bad. They are worse with Air Canada, Lufthansa, etc. But there are tons of airlines that don't have high surcharges (or countries) that you can route through to save on those fees and taxes. We do a video on this but it wont be out for awhile. It's crazy how much we've saved by changing airlines -- $700-800 EACH easily, just by changing routing and the airlines flown.
