Wow. That’s next level “know how”. Never seen anyone put the mattress topper over the headrest like that. Are them champagne glasses just regular wine glasses? The cracked pepper was a nice touch. The seat configuration is a dealbreaker for me though. So much competition on the routes with plenty of airlines offering 1-2-1 configuration. Thanks for a fab blog, again! Ps. Sniffing (Cold/hot towels) ain’t weird. I always check if they’re scented.

How else was the mattress topper going to stay in place? Hahaha Yeah, no proper champagne flutes on Lufthansa! Personally, I like the Lufthansa seat a lot and I don't actually mind the 2-2-2. I like how you are not boxed and can look around the cabin. Not been on a flight yet with a door...but think it would feel like a coffin. Good to know that I am not the only one sniffing the towels hahahaha...thanks for watching, Adam!

Like the humorous touches in your reports, first one of yours I've seen . I have subscribed to your channel!. Looking to do Lufthansa on A380 in Business to Bangkok later this year. They look pretty good, despite no direct aisle access in window seats, have to make sure no one is sitting next to me.

Hey Paul! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. Really appreciate it. Glad you like th humour (not everyone does....LOL) People are so obsessed with direct aisle access! From my limited experience with direct aisle access seats, I find that you sacrifice a lot of personal space for aisle access. Direct aisle access seats feel really cramped. You don't get that with the Lufthansa seat and you also get a nice view of the cabin, which I like, rather than staring into a partition/ seatback. Obviously, it does help to have nobody sitting next to you hahaha. If you need tips for Bangkok or anything else, let me know!

5 star video for a 5 star airline! LH catering seemed to have improved since I last flew them. Having great crew really lifts the flight experience and I am glad you had a great set. I find the IFE before did not have enough films with English subtitles. Hope they have improved that since. Yes, the layout and controls are very Germanic. I quite liked it. What champagne did they serve? I could not read the menu letterings.....

Haha thanks, Wayne! Yeah, the thing that I love about Lufty (most of the times) is the fantastic crew. I just loved how she served the wine on this flight. As if we were in a restaurant! The champagne was Castelnau Brut Reserve - I don't know champagne so can't tell whether it's 5 stars or not....LOL....Why do you need English subtitles for the movies?

No Airline in the world that doesn't have full direct aisle access can be awarded more 3* in my opinion- find an airline that does in my opinion, I shall be hopefully travelling to bangkok on January 1st from Manchester and with Lufthansa it will not be, simply because of the aisle access or lack of it I should say

Nothing beats a 380 take off...were your nuts warm ?? Empty seat next you would have helped?? Aisle access !! Pretty good flight with food and great crew... well done as always with your reviews !!

The empty seat next to me was a major bonus! And the nuts...mine were warm but I didn't touch those as they had almonds in them....My lips are big enough as they are.

I agree, every seat in Business Class should have direct aisle access, Emirates do it beautifully on the A380. Your paying a lot of money for people to crawl over you as you try to sleep! However, the cabin crew were great and the food looked excellent. Came home from Germany last week, not with Lufthansa as they dont fly from Inverness. KLM out and Ryanair back to Edinburgh with 4 hour journey home. Have to say, your shoes looked a wee bit plane this week ...hehe! Great video, informative and entertaining with a dash of humor too. LOVINIT.

Yes but I do have to say that I have a soft spot for the Lufthansa seat. I don't like how you are boxed in these days with the new seats. With the Lufthansa seat you do get a sense of space...until you have to step over the aisle seat but still. Food and crew were fantastic...Lufthansa have some excellent crew and they can really make a trip! Plane shoes...hahaha....thanks for watching!

I never understand, why they serve steak in an aircraft. It's impossible to cook it to somewhat near perfection with the on board ovens. It would be better not to serve it instead of serving it like this (8:40).

this product is even behind SAS which is 3 stars. Sas is more like a 4star and lufthansa a 3 star... although SAS are not competitive enough on prices. There lufthansa wins.

I wanna support my national airline since their cabin and service is much preferred over most Lowcost and most LegacyCarriers too, but their pricing is a mystery to me. Double the price of most KLM and Hansa offers.

I was very happy with it. I quite like being in the back so you can see the whole cabin. The only problem with the A380 is that you basically just see the wing from most seats. So in business class, it's really only the seats in the back that give you a "view" other than the wing.

@@SOPLANETUBE Totally agree, thats why I mentioned the A380, flew once in Business Class with Emirates Seoul to Dubai on the 380, I would never book Business Class on the 777 fleet due to the 2-3-2 configuration, its shocking!! The A380 Business Class is a totally different beast, its better then First Class on many carriers.

I've flown Emirates many times and i have to say that their 777 configuration has absolute nothing to do with 5 stars. In Business Class they have a 2-3-2 abreast configuration even in the new one! And economy 3-4-3 in a 777 is also not a 5 Star standard. When you look at other 5 Star airlines like Singapore or Thai, they have 9 seats a row in their 777 not 10 like emirates and many other airlines. The 777 was made for a 3-3-3 seat confi in eco but emirates started with this 3-4-3 shit. The Service on Emirates is often good, but when you're unlucky it can be really bad in economy. Food is also not top class but its above average. Their entertainment system is 5 Star really but emirates is to focused on their ICE as on the service and food quality.

I think lufthansa is really a 5 star airline. I mean its the only 5 star airline in europe & us and i don't think you can compare a european airline with western standards with a asian airline with their standards. In Asia most of the airlines are government owned, lh is a privat airline. You even don't compare a 5 Star Hilton hotel with an 5 Star Four Seasons hotel because you know the difference but both is 5 star too.

It's not really something that has ever bothered me. The main issue I have with new direct aisle seats is that they feel cramped. The great thing about the Lufthansa seat is that you don't feel boxed in but that's a personal preference I guess. But yeah, the staggered seating on Oman does look good!
