HH, Great video, EE Love the sound effects little man. HH, I think you will find that the switch is from the Bombardier position and may even be the Bomb Release switch. I could not find a definitive picture but am still looking. Those switches you showed are not rounded like that and the Switch on the American B17 is VERY Similar. Good luck and keep it up. If I find the photo I will send you a link. Be well and stay safe.

Beautiful tunes at the intro. EE is becoming more and more vocal and it sure adds to the enjoyment of the videos. You sure had all the tools of the trade needed including your modified serrated digging tool HH. You are so very fortunate to have EE the Robot to assist you on your adventures. You did an excellent job restoring the wing lid hatch, amazing to still be able to see the 'aus/an switch'. Also, excellent find on the wing gas tank support with the part number. Cleaned up nicely. A extremely rare find of the black green 99 airflow control cylinder cooling switch from dashboard of the cock-pit. Good job HH & EE. Looking forward to whatever else you were able to discover there. Keep smiling. :)

Thanks for the diagram of the debri field. You found several pieces indicating a Ju-88 crashed there and set fire. Often wonder what happened to the pilot. My father said the JU-88 was an advanced night fighter plane and the RAF studied a captured one to learn it's technology. You were very fortunate to find all the different parts of the fallen plane. Good for you EE finding some of the airplane parts and putting your Dad to work digging them up. Those rare parts cleaned up nicely 👌.. Thoroughly enjoyed it on this grey and gloomy day. Take care and stay safe HH,EE, & BBG.

Absolutely brilliant finds! Finding another Fuel Tank Support and another Access Panel. Huge clues that you've hit a area where a wing exploded. And what an amazing find that instrument panel switch is! That would have to be super rare to locate a switch like that. Hi, History Hunter and Eagle Eyes, Thanks for another installment of the search for the JU 88. It had always been my impression that most crashed had been witnessed and so the location was actually known and the aircraft and any surviving crew members or their remains recovered and all that is left all these years later is the parts they missed or were too small to be of concern to the recovery crews. That flexible tube that you found appears to have been an air vent, possibly for defrosting the windscreen for the pilot. Good luck on the rest of your adventures. God Bless and stay safe.

I'm always excited to see what you find, most especially on these aircraft crash sites. That was one heck of an impact to create that much scatter - probably still under some power when it hit? The first bracket looked like it was torch cut, but a piece of burning magnesium could have caused that too. I wonder if that round cap was ejected by an explosion or if it was impact overpressure? It didn't look like it had any burn marks, so that was where my head went. Just thinking in text - such a brilliant find, especially after all these years! Kudos to you & EE on this. Hope to see BBG joining your adventures again when her time allows, as it's a joy to see you all together on these adventures!

The Germans used ju88's with rockets and also parachute mines to attack B17 formations on bombing raids. I found this out reading B17 crew reports on the infamous Schweinfurt raid Oct14 1943. Great finds and a story to be told, it sets the mind wandering. Great work despite inhospitable conditions.

The JU-88 was one cool looking ww-2 bird. I love the engine and spinner combo the engeneers designed for it. I bet that bird flew light lightening throuh the air. What a work of art! You guys have odd insects over there too? I was working on my Porsche 951 outside and I saw a 6 inch walking stick bug that flies? It was odd looking and its body was thick, freaky. Haha. It looks an 'impact with high ground' type of crash, to me, (hence the high level of disintergration and scatter of parts) Probably the ju88 flew into the hilltop during a period of low clouds/visibility. My guess is the A/C probably came from a Luftwaffe training unit. Where I live in the U.K we are close to the Pennines, a range of hills that run down the length of the U.K like a spine, who unfortunetly has claimed quite a few A/C over the years, many in wartime involving inexperienced crews from training squadrons. Cheers!

Must have been badly wounded or lost all control. Otherwise you would think the water landing more exceptable. Hopefully they bailed out.

I love how you can research a part and find out what it is. I never have any luck doing that. I enjoy all your adventures and the way you mix them up keeps your channel interesting. Metal detecting on a few videos, then on to the underwater ROV, then exploring bunkers and lost defensive locations. This area is turning up some nice items.

Yes tons of bugs there for sure :) No seal in them but we found something later that the covers belonged to and will show that later Oma. Thanks and be safe.
