Lugansky - Rachmaninoff, Piano Sonata No. 1

IMO N. Lugansky is one of Russia’s top pianists of all time! He is most definitely a credit to his profession! He also brings elegance and respect to the masterpieces that he performs. He has impeccable timing and touch! It is a rich blessing to hear him perform! I wish him and his family every happiness and blessing!

Because this is the first one and in my career of Op.28 recordings seeker this is a huge moment for me, I hope this version will not be blurry and sort of lost somewhere in between the lines as was his audio recording. I'm sincerely surprised how much more attention this piece has been getting since the past 10-15 years, like from 7 listeners to 27 for the whole yt audience. 😁

Ok so the climax in 1st is better than before but still not as good as with Berezovsky for example. Anyway, great overall, and great video. The ending is beautiful. However ... either the most important part of 3rd is behind a paywall or the director is incompetent to say the least, so during the final exposition we're looking at zoomed out pianist or his face ... how funny! 🙄
