Not even the end, he explicitly dies early on in _New Super Mario Bros._ , I think it's the first time you fight him? It's just that death is as cheap for Bowser as it is literally everyone else in the Mushroom Kingdom, which... actually explains almost every weird thing about the series, really. Why does Mario wade through literal armies to rescue the princess? He doesn't stay dead, so they're not a threat to him. Why does Bowser always have an army? They don't stay dead, either. And why does Bowser even bother, knowing that Mario's going to trounce (and possibly kill) him again in the end? Because they'll be go-karting again by the end of the week, very possibly with Bowser even racing his own zombified corpse.

From the way Clarvoyia talks about him, it makes me think that Bowser's actually, literally dead at this point. Which, point for Bowser, it's not the first time (Dry Bowser) but it's usually only a temporary thing, but from this scenario it gives off a very strange vibe. Something I've actually noticed while watching this and playing thru the game again: The music and Luigi's whistling/humming tempo are based on his health. If you're at full health, normal tempo. The lower the HP, the slower. It's much more haunting like that, especially when you play PAL where everything is reversed and you take 2x damage.

About the Luigi's Mansion remake for the 3DS: Honestly, I thought it was a faithful recreation. I did one playthrough with the Strobulb and one without, and it didn't really change the game too much. The real issue is the lack of a second control stick. I didn't really miss it in Dark Moon cause the game was designed to be played without it, and I don't even touch it in LM3 except to spawn Gooigi, but its omission was rather noticeable in the remake, especially if you prefer the sidestep controls. Sure, you can use the C-stick nub on the New 3DS, but it just doesn't feel the same. I was able to get around this problem using a trick taught back in Dark Moon. Basically, if you're facing the wrong direction while vacuuming, you can hold B to change your direction to match your movement, then release B while still vacuuming to go back to strafing. I don't know if the remake tells you this, but that was how I played the whole game. And honestly, even if there was a (good) second stick on the 3DS, I probably would've still played using this trick just because I prefer that control scheme. While it's not much of an upgrade, I would still say the 3DS version is superior. It added achievements, boss rematches, amiibo support for those who want it, and an ever-present map on the touch screen. That, along with the portability of the 3DS, make it superior to the GameCube version to me, and this is coming from someone who has played through the GC version probably 15 times. Just don't touch the multiplayer, unless you like playing games at 10 FPS.

So something's been bugging me since it keeps coming up and Emile and Jon both keep getting it wrong is the timing from the flash to the vacuum. The farther you are away from a ghost the less time you have to catch a ghost, which is why Tim keeps missing the Speedy Spirits because he's always too far away. And it's my recommendation to turn on Sidestep mode for Speedy Spirits because they always move behind Luigi, meaning if you walk backwards towards them, it makes it easy to get within flashing range to make it easier to catch them.

What a "stellar" performance from Tim, clearing out the Astral Hall and Observatory in record time. And if he hadn't gotten Madame Clairvoya vacuumed up in one go, one of the easiest portrait ghosts to capture, I would have been surprised and a little disappointed. She is my favorite ghost after all. I hope he brought his safari helmet because we get to hear about a lost boss for the Safari Room next episode, courtesy of Emile I suspect.

I've played Luigi's Mansion 3DS. Honestly, the strobulb is almost necessary for that version. The game's controls just weren't meant to be played on a handheld without a second stick. Even turning off the flashlight and stunning them is really more of a pain than it is worth. For all intents and purposes, that version of the game SHOULD have been on the Switch just for the reason that it feels really awkward on 3DS.

do you know how difficult that would be? first off, he would have to delete years of history just to attempt it, then there is the fact that the population of streetpass enabled 3ds' is significantly smaller, also the quantity of big games considering they added several paid expansions, and that is without mentioning the lack of win condition in most of the games or the titan that is puzzle swap with way too many panels added through free dlc whenever a new big 3ds game was released. Most of the puzzle swap panels also REQUIRE other players due to the existence of pink pieces. The assistance of getting 10 pieces from a meet does nothing to help when compared to the scale of the game. Not to mention how hard it is to get streetpass tags because of the scare, and the streetpass achievements that require daily play, extended absence, and large quantities of tags all at once. The region map is also a thing. Safe to say he likely means the streetpass functionality of triple deluxe, though it was also vague enough to cover other potental games that use it such as link between worlds.

Funny story: When I was younger, I thought that the light bridge that appears when shooting the moon wasn't walled on the sides, therefore making it possible to actually fall off it. Because of this, I slowly inched my way to the star and back being very careful not to fall off and die. It wasn't until my next playthrough that I realized that it was safe to walk normally all along.

From my own experience playing I believe that the light has multiple hitboxes, the hitboxes with shorter, narrower cones stun the ghosts for longer. That's why holding the light off and releasing when centered on the ghost usually makes it easier, it results in a longer stun because they get hit by one of the smaller hitboxes.

I prefer the original Luigi's Mansion's flashlight system over New Moon. The strobulb just doesn't feel as natural to me as the original's flashlight. Luigi's Mansion also has a pretty steep learning curve, but when you do fully understand the mechanics behind combat in the game, you can clear rooms like it's nothing. Seriously skilled players can catch 2 or 3 ghosts at a time easily.

The 3DS version is basically the same, but it has the option to use “some” LM2 mechanics…. Like the strobulb whatever it’s called. Plus there are motion controls and circle pad pro controls, tho the circle pad pro is the best option compared to the new 3DS, considering…. Full circle stick

took like 4 hours, this includes a cound´t read disk problems like more than half of the time. Got like 12 gold, 10 silver and a bronze (king boo) on the bosses. Money rank got an A. missed like 10 speedy sperits and a bunch of golden mice, but got all 50 boos and the plant.
