This is, without doubt, one of the best parts of the game, A voice over to the backing track sets the tone and setting for the game while breaking the fourth wall. Plus, it gives us an insight into Luigi's character as he's clearly nervous...all this through one simple, repeated (and very catchy) track. Well done, Nintendo.

And the subtle change depending on the state of his health and the room. High giving a more confident humm,medium giving this hum,and low giving a terrified humm signaling he is on the verge of crapping himself and passing out. But once the room is cleared and lights turn on,luigi then whistles the song happily. It's an awsome detail that the developers did.

If you hum this softly enough, it loops perfectly to hum as a lullaby. Did it for both my kids and they'd knock out. It wasn't until recently that my oldest one was humming it out of the blue while playing with her toys! It brought me a huge smile and warmth seeing my kid grow up humming this and have no idea that the only reason she was humming it is because her father is a gamer. Where others got Rockaby Baby, they got Luigi's Mansion
