He went around the league - they have seen and scouted him - got his number - but for a month or so he looked like a combo of Dwight Gooden and Pedro Martinez in their prime - was a great run while it lasted - Cashman should sign Trevor Bauer and trade for Vladdy and go for it - when Soto leaves for free agency we are toast next season - and what the heck happened to Verdugo and Volpe - look awful at bat

Verdugo has always gotten worse later in the season and volpe is simply regressing to what he was last season . What we saw for close to 2 months was likely just a flash in the pan . Because he is swinging at everything like last season when he was trying to judt hit hrs

Gil has pitched too many innings this season. He needs a 2 to 3 week break to rest his arm. Bring him back in the bullpen after a rest, then ramp him up the end of September as a starter.
