I hope you all enjoyed this video. I made a mistake calling this airgun a break barrel. When in fact it's not. The M1A pellet rifle has a fixed solid barrel with an underlever swing. It's one solid build rifle.

Luis, Thank you for doing these reviews, their helpful to see how these guns operate in a real world environment, and not in a staged controlled environment, like so many of the big businesses do.

It's all good I knew and we knew what you meant cause the underlever is same principal as break barrel kind of but it's all good. This is the replica of the .177 airgun compitition riffle they make.

Muchas Gracias Luis. 👍👏👏👏

I just received mine in the mail today. I got it in the .22 caliber. I can hardly wait to shoot it. great video by the way.

Bought mine from that jungle website. .177 caliber averages 930 on my chronograph. I like the anti bear trap feature it gives me a sense of safety while loading. The rifle will put them in a 1 inch circle at 25 yards all day long. It is heavy. I took it squirrel hunting last week and after 3 hours I knew the rifle was there. Keep that in mind if your going to buy one. This is a great rifle. I don’t find it any more loud than a regular air rifle. In fact it is more quiet than my multi pump Benjamin. All in all I would 100 percent recommend this fine rifle to anyone looking to getting in on serious air gun activities.

Did you have some petroleum in the barrel/on the pellets. That sounds VERY unlikely.

When using under lever rifles it is a great idea to hold on to the cocking lever while loading your pellet. It is not likely but possible for the sear to release the piston causing the whole air chamber to fly forward and remove a digit . I prefer under levers to break barrels but I keep in mind to not let go of the cocking lever while loading my pellets. thanks for the video.
@therealartboy3 жыл бұрын
It comes with anti bear trap thats why you have to push that botton near the chamber to pull up the under lever.

Hi Luis, I would say there is one advantage about .22. If you want to shoot lead free pellets, then they are typically very light, so if you shoot them, it's like dry fire. However, there are .22 lead free pellets that weight in 12 grain, which is quite awesome.

Hola Luis. 👍👍👍

Looks great. I wouldn’t enjoy having to spend so much time to pop off 5 shots. I love the way it looks. Great looking replica. 10/10 Shooting 2/10 I’d get this if they redesigned it to at least hold a 5 shot cylinder. Reload after every five shots. 5, 7, or 10
@PlasticRocket22 жыл бұрын
Making this multi shot would complicate the gun and likely require Co2 or pcp, increasing cost. Underlever is very accurate.

Good video. Nice shooting. Free standing is a good way to shoot and can develop good shooting habits. As a former Marine, I like rifles like these as they are affordable for an old retired guy like me and can be shot more places than the original M1A...:)

Did you ever use the extendable cocking lever feature? Always look through the manual first! I have the .22 version on the way. Supposedly today? My father carried one as a Seabee in the philippines in WWII. Ah, the stories...

Uh, the M14 was issued in the early years of the Vietnam War. The M1 Garand was issued in WW2. In fact the M14 didn't enter service until 1959. So no your father didn't carry one in WW2.
@unionrdr2 жыл бұрын
@@TacticalJackalope I know all that. And it was 1957. Hw used the m1 version. I said as much. Geez
@TacticalJackalope2 жыл бұрын
@@unionrdr No, the M14 was in fact officially adopted by the U.S. Army in 1959 and then only provisionally. You might be confused a bit I think. The M1A is the civilian version of the M14 essentially the same rifle without the full auto capability but both had the 20rd detachable box magazine which the Garand never had. The M14 also possesed a flash supressor and was chambered for the 7.62x51 Nato cartridge unlike it's Garand older sibling which was chambered in the Caliber .30 M1 round a.k.a. .30-06. Consequently the U.S. military removed the selector switch from the gun about 64' on becuase it was completely uncontrollable in full auto. It didn't enter full service until 61-62'. It's great your father served but if he was a Seabee in the 40's he would have had an M1 Garand or an M1 Carbine and maybe a 1911 and it was most likely a carbine because that's what most rear echelon troops were issued. Yes, I know the Seabees sometimes were in combat but they were not intended as front line troops. Don't be so senstive and thin skinned if you put your stuff out there on the internet you might want to anticipate a response challenging your assertions.

Does it have a dovetail for a scope? Or is there an adapter available?
@garybray36142 жыл бұрын
On M14 the safety is OFF when lever is towards front sight. Safety is ON when lever is pulled into trigger guard. To shoot with safety on, you put finger on trigger, push safety lever away from you with trigger finger and then fire.
@Kcrunchymunch3 жыл бұрын
Really nice replica of the M1a looks like the real one. It might be too heavy for lugging around hunting squirrel or rabbit though and for a humane kill I think a .22 might be best.

I’m waiting for the day they make a 177.cal M1 Garand…..I will be so happy when it happens. I have no idea why they haven’t done it yet. I figured they haven’t done it because of the bolt might be hard to recreate but since they done it with a M1 Carbine, then a M1 Garand should be no problem at all. PLEASE somebody make one!!
@MrAnimeWolf2 жыл бұрын
If you're willing to dish out 500 to 600 dollars and if you can find one available, you can get an M1 Garand replica from Kingston Armory that shoots .22lr
@car6on143 жыл бұрын
how well does the barrel cover / shroud reduce the sound?
@MetalDetroit3 жыл бұрын
I can imagine it does at all. The actual M1A and M14 had flash suppressor, not sound suppressors. This is a cosmetic looks reproduction. No sound suppression.
@nbp92 Жыл бұрын
Apparently they mixed up the safety and they got it wrong. The "safe" position, is when the flap is on the inside of the trigger guard and the "fire" position is when it's on the outside (position closer to the muzzle). Excellent replica though...
