I bought one just before going to the Nationals, after hearing how versatile it is. Mostly practicing with it, but it did perform well at the OC. It’s different for me, in that most balls I play down and in, whereas this ball helps me to go much more inside. I have noticed how important it is to stay aggressive with ball speed, with this ball. I’m happy with the ball, and will use it during the upcoming league season. My ball speed is similar to yours (mid 14 to low 15 mph), so I get a lot from your videos. I am 65 years old, with a 223 average.

I just got a Phaze II last night... and holy smokes. I bowled one of my best series so far this league, and I didn't even practice with it. I literally got it drilled at the pro shop and then walked 50-ft over to the lanes for league play. Then I threw a 192, 186, and 193. I'm not great, but I've been bowling with an old ball that I got for free and plugged re-drilled it, and so to get one that fits my style better is already amazing. It hooks so hard and it hits hard too, and my throws are about 14.5 mph, and I love it. I got the 14 lb one and I'm so excited for many many more games.

Phaze 2 is just an amazing ball. Both long or medium patterns, whether house or sport, the Phaze 2 is a must. It always provides an accurate depiction of what the lane is giving you. As an older player (70) my ball speed is slower (11.5) or so. I think this ball would be a little too early for me. I use an older storm ball - Reign Supreme-15 lb. Still a Sym ball with a Hi-brid cover and it goes a little longer. 5 - 300s with it. Also have a Hi-road pearl that I resanded from 1500 to 1000 grit and repolished so it is not so angular-works very well( Colleen's husband)

I just got back into bowling at the tail end of last season. I bought the Phaze 2 because my bowling balls were almost 20 years old is old, hand-me-downs. Since being back into bowling I have noticed that this ball that this ball gives me a really good control on the fresh and after breakdown. When the lanes are in transition I still have a lot of trouble, however I am figuring that out as well. I do think this ball is very versatile.

I can only use this on long and high volume sport patterns standing at 30 or more left even when the ball is polished. At 13-14 miles at about 450-500 rpm it just needs more speed from me, which at 11 years old is really hard. The GOAT is a tie between the Hustle PBR and the Pitch Black. The Pitch I can use as a strike and spare ball, even the 10 pin. But if there is too much oil I have to go with the Hustle.

@No Name Bowler Dad here, Ty asked that I respond. We actually slowed his tempo as he was so fast to the line coupled with the fact he is a heel planter, working on that, the sudden braking would cause him to lean forward instead of coming up with the swing. The lean forward would result in balance issues, arm crossing etc. The slower tempo didn't result in a speed reduction but did provide a solid accuracy boost. As much as he wants to throw 18mph fact is he is a little guy only 90 lbs and we also just moved to 14 lb balls so low flare equipment is where he needs to be as he pushes a 450+ rev.

I picked up a used Phaze 2 about 6 months ago for $40. I wanted to try it out but didn't want to spend a ton of money on a ball if it wasn't going to work out for me, been there too many times. Had it drilled and resurfaced and for me it was a bit of a turd. Not a whole lot of movement down lane, but I didn't give up on it. I took the surface to 4000 and for my style (speed, rev rate, tilt, rotation) it completely changed the ball. It is everything I always wanted my benchmark ball to be. This ball never gets left at home and is always the first ball out of my bag. Best $40 I ever spent!

Like you my biggest mistakes are when I leak it right and slow up. I love that I can miss in at 18 and it sits. Its absolutely the GOAT. I mostly bowl on sport shots and I haven't thrown a Phaze 2 yet because I already have smooth symmetrical options like the Pro-Motion, Pitch Purple, and IQ Tour Nano Pearl. But the award for most versatile in my bag goes to the Ebonite Envision. Like the Phaze 2 it also comes out of the box a little dull for me, but as it shines or just adding polish the ball hooks a ton. It's also blue and red (maybe a theme), and a solid, but unlike the P2 the Envision has a little bit of asymmetry. I have one drilled pin in the ring, and am planning to get another one with a taller pin to handle carry down in tournaments. How do you think the P2 would handle carry down?

Always great videos!! Bought my 1st ball after being off bowling for 30 years on your recommendation, a Phaze 2 👍. Unfortunately I had to sell it , it was 15 lbs and didn’t feel comfortable with it. Bought my second choice a Rubicon UC3 in 14lbs. Much more fun and comfortable to throw. May also buy another Phaze 2 🤩. Question, how much do you come up the side of the ball to get these reactions? It seems you can almost make any ball look good. Lol 😂

Hello Lou, this is Tiger, I am 69my ball speed is 10 -12 mph DOWN & in not my friend, I play across the 20 out to the 10, the furthest range finder, will this work on the house shot ? Wet dry situation or medium? Up ten is not doing it , be careful.

I bowl 16+ games a week (practice and 2 leagues) all year for approximately 800+ per year and I am still going strong with my Brunswick TPU's that I purchased 6/7 years ago. I noticed you have had four new sets of shoes in the last year......... 1 year ago SST6, 7 mo. ago SST Camos, 5 mo. ago 900G Blk/Orange, 2 weeks ago SST8's. That's a lot of shoes at $200+ a pop. Are they not holding up or what. Which have you liked the best and would recommend as a replacement for my TPU's when they finally wear out.

I have the Phazes 2-4, and my favorite is the 3 😁! However, I do like the versatility of the 2. I keep them both at 5500 or polished. The 3 for me goes longer and shapes better when I need it. However, the predictability of the 2 is what I like. Now... here's the question you should ask... if you only had 1 shot for 1 million dollars 💸 what ya throwing? Mines would be... Hy Road!

I wished I had purchased the Phaze 2 as my benchmark ball. Instead, I bought the idol helios. I find the helios OK, but somewhat lazy in the backend for me. From what I have seen, the Phaze 2 is stronger and more continuous on the backend. Hopefully, I will be able to get a Phaze 2 in the near future.

The Phaze 2 is without a doubt the best ball ever. I’m saying this and I have religiously thrown the Venom Shock, Hammer Black Widow OG, Jackal Ghost, IQ Tour Solid and Hy-Road Pearl. If you are looking for versatility, it can fit any bowler’s style, it can play on any pattern, it can shape the lanes, blend out the pattern and it’s a THS killer. The Phaze 2 is one of the 6 Infinity Stones of bowling balls.

What's the reason for having a ball and then drilling a new one of the same ball? Is it for different hand placement or is it because they wear out and polishing and or sanding the cover doesn't fix it ?

I think that there are a lot of great balls, but the real difference is the person throwing it. You put a Phaze II in my hands and while I will make a Belmonte-worthy shot here and there, nobody will be running to their pro-shop to get one for themselves. Now if I could just remember -- AND REPEAT -- how I threw that beautiful strike, maybe.
