Cillian Murphy is 100% in this movie. He is not that damn zombie, he shows up in the later part of the film. They are straight up lying about him not being in it, he's billed in it and was seen on set.

He was photographed on set, yes, but those pictures were taken in September 2024 midway through production of Part 2, not Part 1; Andrew Macdonald (one of the trilogy's producers) said in his interview with Empire that he won't appear "in the first one".

A lot of people here debating whether jim is in the film or not, honestly i dont care. I dont need to know what happened to them as long as this one is a good story with good characters. Thats my only concern. 😂 it is exciting enough to return to this world, we dont need old narratives necessarily. Just make the movie good!

The 28 Days Later soundtrack is so good.. So good.. This new hype is bringing back good memories.. I honestly wonder where , jim , selena , Tammy , and Andy are? Especially Andy and Tammy because their both immune and yet thier carriers.. But the infected will still attack them.. Im pretty sure the virus has evolved and i can't wait to see how !!

Watched a video about a theory that the virus mutated inside Don's wife for roughly 28 weeks, hence it can survive for longer period via hibernation or what.. It basically started the virus outbreak on 28 weeks later and later lasted to 28 years later.. the initial virus started on the monkey and the last infected of that died of starvation.

I think the kid at the opening of the trailer is Aaron Taylor Johnson and the opening was the first days of the Rage Outbreak. Do the math: the film is set THREE decades after the Rage Virus outbreak and he's gotta be thirty by the time the story opens up. Not to mention, I love the cast they got for this film, mainly Ralph Fiennes, Aaron Taylor Johnson and Jodie Comer.

But I’m referring to the kid … looks about 13, so maybe teen technically, lol … who is running around with Aaron Taylor-Johnson throughout the rest of the trailer. They probably show flashbacks of Aaron’s childhood and how the outbreak started from his vantage point, but the kid who’s in most of the trailer is who Aaron Taylor-Johnson said the movie kind of revolves around. The cast is GREAT, though! 😍 I think it will be a great addition to the franchise and one to watch in theaters! 😁👍

What scares me about the return of this movie is the sequel Weeks didn’t do as well. However the trailer being almost identical to the first film in design gives me hope. But to follow my original comment, what scares me is how are we leading to 28 years of Rage? Will it be generic “medical leak” will it be the infection never stopped? Will it be the island is full of asymptomatic carriers of Rage? Will that “cult” with the masks be the asymptomatic group purposely infecting people? There’s so much risk with this and it genuinely makes me nervous as Days is one of those films that’s very near and dear to me.

I've been waiting for this movie for years, i really don't like that they skipped months, but this looks good. the lady directing part 2 is not a good film maker though, we are in for slop sequels. IMO one single film 28 months later would have been the move, and it it sold well move on to a mini series.

No no no, I don't want Dacosta to have any ties towards the Bone Temple, it's best to keep Danny Boyle and Alex Garland to keep the reigns for part 2, because if they have others film the 2nd, that possibly never heard or worked on the 28 days and weeks later with little knowledge I bet you they gonna twist the story to make it more woke or have any bs just for money making. Honestly, I'm happy to see 28 years later emerging out of the shadows when I least expect it.
