Tom Welling knocked it out of the park as Clark/Superman. 10 out of 10 casting. I loved Reeves’ Superman, but I grew up watching Smallville, so Tom’s my favorite. And he plays an evil Clark so damn well too

Smallville Clark has been established to be close to Pre-Crisis Superman power levels (or about as powerful as the Chris Reeve one). JLU/DCAU Superman was more along the Post-Crisis level (who breaks a sweat lifting a mountain).

When i think of Bizarro, i always think of the backward pathetic misguided monster from the comics who constantly refererred to himself as "me" or "am" but i really loved Smallville's take on him by making him exactly the complete opposite to Clark which was of course evil. From the darker clothes to the deep voice to his over confident attitude, the show did an amazing job in making him feel like a true counterpart to Clark. Tom Welling was brilliant in both roles and really showcased his versatility. Even though Bizarro appeared in only 3 episodes, he was definitely one of the highlights of season 6-7.

It's been years since I saw this, but I remember that Kara Zor-el, Clark's cousin, a.k.a. Supergirl was introduced in this series, and her powers were more advanced than Clark's because 'girls mature faster than boys.' That red blur was her grabbing Bizzaro out of the sky.

@@617steveyboy no it wasn't supergirl, it was martian manhunter. He collected Bizarro to put him on Mars on the sunny side so that Bizarro wouldn't come back. Martian Manhunter even warned Clark not to use some crystal to capture Bizarro in the phantom zone because Bizarro isn't some ordinary phantom like the other phantoms that escaped the phantom zone. So Clark ended up created Bizarro by accident when he was trying to capture him with the crystal. The phantom absorbed his dna in the process.

Clark promised himself he will send them back or destroy them which he did

@@kingsman8475He doesn't even need direct sunlight when he's been exposed to it all his life. It just heals him faster when he's exposed to it directly. Otherwise, he absorbed so much sunlight that he's like an insanely powered battery with superpowers. You can see how he is so much stronger than Bizarro and it's not even close. In Phantom when he first fought Bizarro, his strongest hits sent Bizarro flying through multiple walls & rooms of Reeves Dam whereas Bizarro's hit just knocked him into the hydraulics in the same room. It wasn't until Bizarro absorbed some green-k that he was able to knock Clark further than his first few hits, but there isn't remotely enough green-k to allow him to defeat Clark in a fight. The amount of yellow solar radiation just outnumbers green-k radiation that Bizarro would really never win unless Earth was in a constant eclipse and even then he would have to wear Clark out and drain his immense reserves. Here we see Clark knock Bizarro into orbit where J'onn J'onzz swoops in and puts him into an area that would be exposed to sunlight (I think he said it was by some satellites). This is the very reason why Superman is always way more powerful than Zod and other Kryptonians. It's only Doomsday who can really match him with power and Doomsday's strength is instead animalistic prehistoric / primordial in nature when you consider he is a product of a crazy amount of evolution and immunity to death. He has the experience and a lifetime's exposure to the sun's yellow radiation whereas everyone else is a Johnny Come Lately.

The Martian Manhunter (MM) an ally of Clark. Bizarro does return however I believe later in the series imitating Clark so wherever MM took bizarro he escaped. Only prison he could stay in was the phantom zone.

The shows were designed to showcase the heroes' lives before they took up the mantle to fight crime. However, I feel they could have explored lesser-known villains the heroes might have encountered or briefly touched on some villains' origin stories. This could be done without involving direct interactions with the main hero, staying true to the comics where these villains often didn’t cross paths with the hero until they began their journey as crime fighters
