It was a grind it out kind of game and the Celtics played bad but the Mavs played worse. No missed call is saving them there, when they are shooting 66% from the charity stripe. Kyrie has got to step up, and give the defense their credit they have been locking down on Kyrie hard. The Celtics have been making the Mavs play their brand of basketball. This makes sense the Celtics have been the best team all year they won 64 games this year and are the most offensively efficient team in history. 3:10 But remember before game 1 in your video you claimed "you knew who'll win the 2024 NBA Finals" you said the argument in favor of the Mavs was a gut feeling Luka and Kyrie could handle things better than Tatum and Brown. But now it's about how overpowered top to bottom the celtics are? Just keeping things honest for words used. "Derrick White and Jrue Holiday are one of the 5 best backcourts in the NBA. & They are basically the Celtics 4th and 5th best players offensively." People DID show up. EVERY SINGLE STARTER for dallas outperformed their playoff average thus far in game 2, except Kyrie - who made exactly one shot fewer than his playoff average. Luka had twice the turnovers he normally does this playoffs. Kyrie could, and likely will, get things going in Dallas. But you've been wrong since the jump is your assessment distilling it to those 4 guys like I warned initially. Dallas' bench in game 2 accounted for 9 points across an average 12 mins vs boston's 17 over an average 15 mins. delta being +7pts BOS in the net game score vs +9pts BOS in bench delta while boston shot an atrocious mark from 3 as well at 25% and took SIGNIFICANTLY more of them. The Mavs LIVE AND DIE by the 3 ball. they can't create all around vs this defense in boston and aren't deep enough to compete strategically off the bench. They've averaged 12 made 3's over the past 19 games (last night dragged that much further too). Game 2 they made half that. IT's not just about making 3's of course it's about creating the open looks. the shots are significantly more contested. If you want to analyze this game and create a path for dallas, it starts and ends with shot creation especially to stop the momentum swings of Boston who is insanely streaky, more often than not for the better. Anything else you're adding is confusing people into thinking Mavs players aren't showing up. You're incorrect. statistically it's objectively a fact they are. Kyrie can do more. but that's not going to make the difference is what you still don't get. Dallas is just lucky Boston has shot so piss poor. imagine what they'll do to them when they are finding the mark if they are STILL beating them.

Boston’s playing great defense, but after Luka had 24 in the first half Mavs got some wide open looks when they blitzed him. But that’s by design… why guard the people who aren’t scoring verse the guy who’s hitting everything. That’s the reason for the narrative Luka can’t do it alone. A European here who's neither a Celtics nor Mav's fan. I just want to see some good competitive basketball. Allthough I like both teams. Both have players who's amazing to watch. The Luka can't do it by himself, is of course true. But that goes the other way around, as well. JB and JT can't do it by them self either. The Celtic's are way, way deeper than the Mav's. The Mav's we saw against the T-Wolfes has been a no show in game 1 and 2. Boston's defense is amazing. Causing Luka to make 8 TO's and locking down Kyrie, causing him to make mistakes like I've never seen. If Kyrie had scored more points the Mav's could have won game 2. But if Tatum had scored more points and/or they'd not struggled as bad from behind the three, it'd been a way bigger win. I see great ball movement from the Celtic's and very little ball movement from the Mav's. The Celtic's are making Luka a huge liability on defense. I really can't see it going any other way than Boston winning. It's more a question of, will it be in 4, 5, 6 or 7.

Considering where we started the year, and the playoff road we had I'm just really really happy the mavs made it to the finals. But no one actually went into this series thinking the celtics were the worse team. They only need 3 out of 6 players to show up to win a game. Mavs need 4 out of 2 lol. It is what it is, a team can only overplay themselves so long. Hard to not be disappointed in Kyrie this series, but he's been very heroic all year. Happy for the celtics and their ability to put team first and not trip over themselves anymore. That's indeed how you find a ring. (great video as always)

The Celtics know that they can get back every point Luka scores by simply challenging him on defense. Luka makes an incredible shot? @GOATiology , I recognize that you're rooting for the Mavericks, but be a bit more impartial. I'm a Celtics fan, but what made me fall in love with this channel was how you highlighted the incredible from every team from almost every angle. I just watched at least 8 minutes of pleading for the Mavericks to step it up and help Luka. Barely any credit given to Boston. No credit given to Payton Pritchard for playing excellent defense on Luka, a guy 6 inches taller and a lot heavier than he is. Or highlighting how we almost always forced Luka and Kyrie into multiple bodies. It's not just that we are extremely talented, a talented team can still suffer tremendously if not well coached. We played great defense and played unselfishly and put our players into positions they can shine. Something Jason Kidd isn't doing. The Celtics are beatable we've shown inconsistencies all year, but we are actually playing really well and acknowledgement from the GOAT and more perspectives other than eight minutes of "help Luka" would be nice :)
