Luka magic even played great after approving to trade Porzingis. KP is evidently a shell of his former self and could not consistently create offense for himself or his teammates. Most of his made baskets are assisted and he doesn't command the attention of opposing defenses like he did in the years prior. Another issue with the unicorn is that he's rarely seen on the floor since his 7'3 frame is injury prone. The best ability is availability and KP, unfortunately, was not the best fit alongside Luka, even when KP was on the court. As a MFFL (Mavs fan for Life), it's saddening to watch him miss weeks at a time with knee soreness and other lower extremity sprains. We wish him all the best, but he needed a change of scenery and we need ball players that are actually available to suit up. Even when he was healthy, he looked promising, but there was a lack of synergy between him and Luka. Really wished it could've worked out long term, but this trade actually created more flexibility in our team salary cap now and opens more possibilities in free agency.
