Here is something "outsiders" do not know. A lot, if not most, of us Mavs fans hoped that Minnesota gets the 1st seed going into the last reg Season games, so we can face them in the 2nd round. Out of OKC/Denver/Minnesota I also thought Minnesota would be the best matchup. Specially after our deadlie trades. We now have the lengh and size to play and defend Gobert/KAT/Reid, but they do not have the speed and athleticism that our roster has. McDaniels is a great great defender, just not against Luka. He isnt physical enough to bang with him. Edwards/NAW can be more physical, but they are to small. Luka averaged 36.5/10.5 in the 2 games he played against Minnesota this season. That doesnt mean Dallas will have an easy round here. This will (unless something crazy happens) not be over in 5 or even 4 games. But Minnesota will have problems defending our role player athletes, as well as standing in front of Luka and Kyrie, while DJJ/Washington are more then capable to hold Edwards/KAT to below average numbers, specially with the athletick help of Lively/Gafford around the basket.

The Wolves are built to beat the Nuggets.. not Dallas. I am not saying Luka is better than Joker but Luka is a combination of Jokic and Murray. Minnesota needs a combination of Rudy and McDaniels. Wolves have been the better defense all year while Dallas has been the better offense but that is not mentioned.... and one more thing.... everyone is treating beating the Nuggets like it was beating the Warriors in their prime. The Nuggers were great last year but they did beat two 8th seeds in the WCF and FInals last year. They have been to the WCF twice in the Jokic era. Beating them as the best team is impressive but people are acting like beating the Nuggets is like beating a dynasty or Lebron in his prime.
