Thanks for showing us the kit! I forgot about the amt big scale kits. Looks like a decent starting point for guys into large scale. I was a bit surprised on how it looks like a bigger monogram kit, not that that is a bad thing. Stay healthy and safe brother!

Box art looks like it sits pretty high up like a 4x4, is that the case?

Yup - I have the T-Birds also. Purchased them at Toys R' Us here in Waterford, CT. for the same price! Around the same time (I think), AMT did a series of simplistic "curbside" NASCAR kits also - I have them too. Great video!

Great review Luka,great kit,had a buddy who i remember building this straight out of the box back in the 80's eh,no paint,he just gluded it together,I would definatley paint mine if I had one though,seems like a waste not painting of a great kit,his still looked awesome though sitting in his display cabinet regardless,cheers

Round2 which now owns the AMT brand has been uploading instructions for a number of AMT kits so you may get lucky and find the instructions for this kit. I found this at a local hobby shop about 10 years ago and the pieces for the front suspension don't fit all that well, the spindles for the front don't turn very good due to the molding on the out side of of the chassis rails and the tie rod is also a problem as well, it's a bit too short. If you can I would recommend scratch building a new set of spindles along with a new tie rod.

Think this one is the 1985. The only real difference in the 84 to 85 is the location of the blue stripe in the white stripe down the sides and hood and deck area. Hard to tell the difference. I have two of these kits. I need to build one of them.
