Thus, the song, "Forget About Georgia". Great songwriter. This guy hits me harder than anything I've heard in awhile. I've been tearing up listening to his songs all evening.

This is such a wonderful song. How he pays homage to the great Ray Charles and one of the best songs of the 20th century, about how he plays it with his dad when HE pays homage to the song at his shows (and recorded it on the Stardust album). The songwriting is simplistic, clever, sentimental (but not sappy) and sooo catchy, great "hook". For the life of me, Idk WHY there's not tens of millions of "likes" on this song...and many of his others, honestly.

I adore Willie and his whole band/family!! Lucas is amazing and his brother, Micah plays everything and tours also. They have a half sister from Willie's previous marriage...Paula Nelson. She also plays and has a beautiful voice!! So much talent in that family!! Lucas has the ability to carry on his dads music, while using his very unique style!! Heard this one for the first time in Oct 2022 at the Outlaw Music Festival tour. I’d long been a fan of Lukas and even longer been a fan of Willie so seeing them perform live together was a real treat. They’re both such excellent performers and made for a real memorable night.
