This piece was written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy for The European Games of 2020. This is being sung here at his first big concert in a stadium in Astana, Kazakhstan. This concert meant a lot to him! I don’t know if you are aware Dimash has been classically trained since the age of 5. He has perfect pitch and plays several instruments. He was offered a job at the local opera house and he refused it because he didn’t want to see just opera. Dimash never lost his high notes like most boys. His mother is an opera singer. He has a masters degree in music. This is why he is so very special, he is not just a singer but a singer who know exactly what he is doing! He also protects that voice. He is a great singer!

When I began listening to Dimash less than one year ago, I was incredulous. Then I began listening to everything I could. Then I found a collection of his songs on Spotify and began listening to him when I ran. The first song might have been Ogni Pietra. There I was, running along happily when all of a sudden I felt cheated. He had stopped singing and some soprano had taken over. That was my first experience realizing that Dimash is a one-man duet. When I got home I found the song on youtube and realized I had been hearing Dimash all along. He is simply the best performer/musician/singer in the world. Thanks for reacting to this beautiful song. We had the same reaction. The first time I heard him was in the Britany Speers "remake" video, whose "reaction shots" of the judges from AMG I find quite irritating and distracting to his singing; especially once I realized they weren't real but cut into the original footage. Anyway, SUDDENLY, as I was looking away, he jumped one or two octaves and I thought WHA? He is beyond magnificent and, not very ugly!

His vocal ability, vocal skills that he has and his acting with charisma! The control of volume and techniques with many years experiences. Octave jump and down in a manner of a second, yet so smooth and seamless, connected and supported with confidence. The way he pulls you in the song with its vibe. Very army and authoritive songs. Hi Lukas, Brilliant reaction. This was the closing ceremony of the World Skills competition in Kazan, the song was written by Igor Krutoy for the opening ceremony of the European games in Minsk last year Jun/July 2019 and Dimash performed it whilst the athletes entered the stadium. When it was written Igor said "I've written a cantata for baritone, tenor, counter tenor and soprano" Dimash said "I'll take them all" This was a modern take on his opera voice, you should take a look at his duet with Aida singing "Ulisse" (another Igor comp) at Igors Ice show celebrating his birthday in Jan this year, he his in his formal opera mode !! 👌👌👌😊

What impresses me the most here is that, normally, if i'm not mistaken, opera singers with that kind of powerful voice and lungs, are big individuals, like Luciano Pavarotti for instance, but Dimash has a tiny body in comparison. The beauty of it all is when he passes from that low manly bariton register to his angelic soprano tone: us Dears, we all melt.

Here are shameful generalized admissions: i am not an opera guy, i don 't love opera, opera is not my cup of tea. I beieve this was the opening ceremony of the annual World Skills competition in Kazan (2019), Russia. 60+ countries send representatives to show their vocational skills. The venue is the Kazan soccer stadium (Capacity 45,000). The stages revolve in 2 directions so that the entire stadium gets a view of the performers. Upper Level (Dimash) is rotating clockwise, the lower ring (chorus) is counter-clockwise. This song was written for Dimash specifically by Igor Krutoy as an inspirational motivating song for the 2nd European Games held in Minsk earlier that same year. I watch this perform live in New York. Oh My!!! I was breathless . I was literally holding my breathe while he was performing, the most powerful and most beautiful opera that I ever heard. I think that Dimash has the ability to see the notes, articulate them with his hand movements, and connects to them emotively as well. When he does his staccatos he uses specific hand movements, with runs he uses specific figure movements and its also possible that when his arms are outstretched he is drawing the energy and emotion from the audience and instrumentation, (something he js able to blend in or compliment ). A unique singer who has the ability to be 100% musically and emotionally in any performance, live or in any format. Great reaction and honesty as well!! Greetings Australia. .

Dear Lukas! Many people already told you about this song. It’s composed by Igor for Dimash opening ceremony at second European Olympic Game at Minsk, Belarus. The song was in Italian-- it’s very meaningful for the Olympic and so are the lyrics. At the opening of the Game , he wore the jacket with Kazakh colour and embroidered with Kazakh flag. That is the sun and underneath is the golden eagle and pattern of Kazakh. It was watched by many millions of people but unfortunately Dimash was shown on the television only four times and for few seconds. They concentrated on the Olympic flag and the six Olympians carriers. This performance at World Skill was hostelast year in Kazan, Russia. It’s a international competition of all type of craft an, be it carpenters, computer, etc. all countries represented including USA. It’s his third performance of this song. Since his opening ceremony at Minsk, he performed at his own concert in Astana( now Nur Saltan) in 2019 before he was invited to perform at this event in the same year. You probably know by now that he graduated both in classical and contemporary and had been offered to join the National Opera at Astana but he declined because he wanted to pursue his career in “ cross over” , that includes classical, pop, folk song , etc . He , at this time, doesn’t want to be bound by any genre or “ boxes”, so to speak. So he is very unique in many sense and I believe that I haven’t seen one performer who can do that. And his vocal, his performance is just out of this world, don’t you think. Apology for such lengthy comment . Oh ! His outfit is the same outfit he opened his Arnur Kenetic Voice in June 2019 when he came down from the “ roof” , so to speak. It was a spectacular performance, believe me. Oh, he definitely knows how good he is! He knows he's the best! But if you watch any duets he's done, he will never upstage his partner/s during a song. Dimash is a very giving performer and will always match whoever he sings with. He has some really great duets too! Please, please, check out "Swan Goose" by Dimash and Tengri! There's Mongolian throat singing in that piece that is amazing! 🥰😍🥰

I watched your reaction to Igor and Dimash's Love is like a Dream and I got a smile when you saw pride on Igor's "the piano player" face, and you thought Dimash was some how the guest star. I'm sure you know a little more Igor Krutoy is a LEGEND in Russia and has come out of retirement to work with Dimash he was so inspired by his gift. This was his first major compositon writen by Igor especially with Dimash's control of his instrument in mind. Damn good for a piano player! There is going to be a lot of great music to come from this pair and many other artists to pair with Dimash. One of Dimash's most unusual gifts is artiistry with no ego or baggage.....truly rare indeed.

He commands the stage. He's like a vocal sorcerer. If you want more of his face and body performance, find the "Fancam" version. Audio is worse, but it's worth it to see his facial expressions more.

That was in "WorldSkills Kazan" Russia, the costume is that he wore for publicity and show at his "Arnau" concert. that like all their concerts have a concept, an aesthetic line and a proposal different from one another. @Italian dear 4ever But you get a better grasp of Ascolta La Voce if you know "Know". I think it makes sense to see Know first. I think Lara's version is without words, but then they add words for Diamash (and melody changes), and he improvises on that while vocalising. You can see Ascolta la Voce is never the same, but it has the main melodic line from of Know. However, I don't think they need to be done together for comparison, just one before the other.
