@@BicMitchum the comparison is between sneaking into a sleeping relative kid's bedroom with a weapon and cocking it and aiming it at them, based on nothing we the audience get to see, which doesn't work whatsoever. Compare that to a much younger Luke clearly growing up, but being pushed by the most evil 2 people in the galaxy who've done terrible things, while being forced to watch the entire alliance die, hear about his friends dying on the moon, left with no escape or options, and even then, it takes extensive goading from them to get him to drop his mission of saving Vader and instead revert to his earlier fighting Vader mindset from the start of the war, which he steps away from after all that stress and learns a valuable lesson. Luke learned that he was right there to hope. You've completely negated his character growth from the first 3 films.
