Bless his heart and his family and friends. Mental illness is absolutely devastating…for the family and for the patient. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone ever. God lift this family up and hold them close. 🙏❤️

@ashley1994 Luke Bryan is overrated! He’s not even a real country singer. He’s just a pop star posing as a country singer. He’s killing Country music!

@ashley1994 how cold hearted you must be. Karma comes around and one day you maybe in the same position his family's in and someone that cold-hearted telling your family all kind of things ugly about you. you could have simply said if you had to say something rest in peace or I don't know his music but so sorry instead of all your little smart comments. I'm sure our lord Jesus isn't happy about it either way. Take the high road Ashley it's a much smoother ride in life. Lifting you in prayer for the Lord to soften your heart and to change your wicked tongue. 🙏

Luke Bell was the real deal. I’ll always enjoy his music that was able to make while he was here with us. It is a shame he has passed and my heart goes out to his family. Luke was an outstanding songwriter, he’s right up there with John Prine in my book.

If you like country music -- real, raw, authentic country music -- then you'd mourn the death of this incredible artist. It's heartbreaking. It feels personal, because I'm a Tucson native who's spent a lot of time partying on Fourth Avenue. I pray he's at peace, and that his family has found peace as well.

The family's statement sheds light that the system failed him. I'm not understanding this. There is free counseling available to those uninsured or cannot afford it. There are several medications for anxiety & depression on the Walmart $4 list. Some of the psych facilities provide free medications to treat depression, anxiety, other mental illnesses. I'm an Oncology nurse for years, background in psych. There is always access to free counseling and free or almost free medications. My heart and prayers go out to his loved ones. But I am not understanding how their thought process is, saying a system failed him. You always have access to free mental health care, but if you do not take advantage of it, or quit therapy, etc, that's not the system failing you. That's you, failing yourself. I don't know his specific situation but it's really a terrible misconception that the mental health system fails someone when it's available for free and the person just stops or refuses treatment. I have been a nurse since 1987. I've never seen the system fail anyone. It's not perfect, but it does help. I have, however, seen people refuse to go to counseling, stop counseling, and stop or refuse to take their medications. Please don't blame the mental health system for being the failure. The person has to want help, want to get better, be compliant with their medications. Guessing it's easier for the family to blame the system than to put the responsibility on the person needing help. Unfair to the counselors and psychologists working for lower wages or volunteering their services, when they could be making more in private facility, or private practice. Hats off to the mental health care workers who have sacrificed a lot of money and time to help patients with no insurance and no resources. Thank you for what you do. You hsve helped a lot of my patients over the years and I'm so grateful for what you do to help those in need, regardless of their social status, lack of insurance or ability to pay. You've helped many, many people, who WANT to be helped.
@jacquelinependleton12562 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but you are wrong. Have you ever had to navigate through the “free counseling and free medication” system? It is a nightmare. So many people have mental health problems now that they are are overwhelmed and understaffed. You can only get a certain number of pills and then you have to call in for more. Chances are high that you will run out before they get you more. Counseling is a joke. You may have a different one every couple of times you go in. Yeah Walmart has a lot of antidepressants for $4, but you have to go to a doctor, get a prescription and try it to see if this one works for you. If it doesn’t, start again. Well for people without insurance those doctor visits are expensive and missing work is hard because they probably don’t have paid sick leave. I knew someone who called the hotline for help to get therapy because they were in a bad way and they were emailed a list of therapists from a psychology magazine for their city. I have a bunch more stories so step off your high horse and quit blaming people who are desperate and in so many cases have no where to turn.
