I grew up listening to my parents listen to classic country music and can't stand modern overproduced country. I only came here after hearing of news of Luke's death, such a pity, because what I found here was a live stripped back song with a rich classic vibe, something modern country is lacking. Sincerity. Let's praise what Luke was able to accomplish while he was with us. He left us this music to remember him by, and man, it's really good.

Truly beautiful song. Didn't know of Luke until now. I don't listen to country as much as I did in the 70s as a kid, but this is what I remember as real country music. Takes me back. Rest in peace, Luke... what you created will live on...

Anyone struggling with addiction or mental illness can relate to the lyrics of this song. RIP Luke. You were one of the good ones. Will always cherish the music you created during the time that you were on this Earth. I wish that you could’ve found your friend in the mirror more times than not. It’s a crime that such a wonderful songwriting performer’s mind was also burdened by mental illness. Taking solace in the fact that though you are no longer here, your burden is lifted… Of course, wishing that it could’ve been done so in a way that kept you here with everyone. 😞
